Yuki's silence is still silence, but maybe with a change in quality?? Mikuru being anxious and nervous isn't...completely out of character. Even Kyon seemed a little..? Well, whatever, Itsuki was the only one who was being relatively the same. " It's not just me, right?? ❞

                     upon  hearing  her  voice  the  esper  stops  his  walk  down  the  hall  and  turns  to  face  the  girl.  he  keeps  on  his  polite  smile,  completely  unchanged  from  his  usual  demeanor  as  she  speaks.

                     perhaps  there  might  be  some  small  changes  in  the  other’s  behavior.  there  have  been  a  few  minor  ripple  effects  that  kyon’s  change  of  alliance  has  caused,  but  nothing  that  itsuki  would  deem  as  concerning  for  the  time  being.  he  is  sure  the  other  brigade  members  might  be  nervous  about  what  this  means  for  them  and  their  missions  here,  but  he  can’t  find  a  reason  for  them  to  be  suspicious  of  the  events.

                     is  it  really  so  hard  to  believe  kyon  might’ve  made  his  decision  on  who  to  side  with  naturally?  and  was  it  so  outlandish  to  consider  that  kyon  would  side  with  him  and  the  agency  over  the  other  two?  koizumi  didn’t  think  so.

                     ‶  acting  weird?  ″  itsuki  asks  as  if  he  has  no  clue  what  haruhi  is  referring  to,  but  with  a  tone  that  feigns  a  very  subtle  concern.  ‶  i  can’t  say  that  i’ve  noticed  anything  out  of  the  ordinary.  can  i  ask  what  makes  you  think  something  might  be  wrong?  ″  could  it  be  that  at  a  subconscious  level  she  might  be  aware  of  what  was  going  on...  it  wouldn’t  surprise  him  for  her  to  be  able  to  pick  up  on  the  subtle  changes  and  alterations  to  this  world.  but  at  the  end  of  the  day,  there  was  nothing  she  could  consciously  do  about  that.  and  things  weren’t  extreme  enough  for  her  to  lash  out  subconsciously.

                     at  least  he  hopes  not.  he  might  need  to  keep  an  eye  out.  just  in  case.

It's april fool's day but time and time again, HOW do you PRANK yuki?? She thought about putting in a tiny tiny dollhouse chair where Yuki's usual chair is, but then yuki would probably just sit on that and make it work somehow! Instead she just takes the book cover of Yuki's current book in progress, and slides it onto a new book, and leaves it in its usual place. It's the HAND DRAWN RETELLING of the SOS BRIGADE'S most recent adventures. (With narrative embellishments of course) Like the computer club president disappearance being caused by an ALIEN KIDNAPPING! or a secret crytpid creature living on the MYSTERIOUS MURDER ISLAND! Haruhi is heroic! The brigade always wins! The drawings are terrible. Mostly stick figures, though you can always tell who Kyon is, as he is the tallest stick figure with a frown.

If I could have one wish in my life, I'd press print on my memories and turn it into a book.

When Haruhi arrives to the clubroom later, the book Yuki was last reading sits next to her, its cover fixed back onto it. She's reading the book Haruhi wrote for her. She seems content.
