Synopsis: You just wanted a little privacy with Brig, but get a lot more than what you bargained for.
Part I
CW/Tags: Fluff. Maybe a little Hurt/Comfort.
The watch point security had been on high alert since the attacks, but this felt different. Sojourn had brought on a few new people and Overwatch felt like it had a chance to thrive under her leadership. You could see the improvements to everything, but the newfound difficulty in sneaking around for any semblance of privacy with Brig was difficult. All you wanted was to spend a little time around her without prying eyes.
There had been a list of sorts of people both of you knew to expect to always be around. Torb may have known you since you were crawling around, but that didn't mean he acted like he trusted you around Brig. Ana was in the same boat as Torb, always watching Brig when the girl was around you. Fareeha and Cass liked to annoy you, and they were still laughing about your first kiss. Most of your friends expected something to happen and didn't care once it stopped feeling quite so new.
Sneaking off of the base to make out felt ridiculous, but you told yourself it was worth it. Especially after Fareeha walked in on you and Brig making out in the gym's locker room. Brig was still wary to go anywhere near Ana despite your insistence that it wasn't how Fareeha made it sound. You were both adults, even if Brig was a bit older than you.
"Psp, psp, psp," Brig whispered. It was loud enough for you to hear it, but you also didn't think she needed to try being so quiet. You weren't miles away from anyone, just far enough away from the cameras not to be seen. Sneaking away had been easy, it was getting back in without raising suspicions that would be difficult.
"I am not a cat," you teased as you walked over to where Brig was waiting for you. She had brought a blanket for the two of you to sit on and a few snacks. There was a nice view of a field of flowers, allowing you to feel more reconnected with nature than you had been in a while.
"Sorry, force of habit," Brig apologized. You brushed it off and greeted her with a kiss. The press of your lips together felt natural, as if it was the only thing right in the world. "We probably don't have much time. Papa said they're worried about what some of the new recruits have been saying. What do you think of it?"
"I think they're afraid to send me out there when they don't know if Reaper is actually gone or not. I think it's bullshit because I can help people," you ranted. Brig wrapped her arm around your shoulders and you fell against her side. You hated being sidelined because of a stupid rumor you chose not to believe. Until someone confirmed to you that Reaper really was your father, you'd keep going the way you had been. Even if they did tell you, it wasn't like you would drop everything to run to his side. Gabriel Reyes was dead.
"You're helping here too, and that's important. And maybe I'm a little biased, but I prefer to think about how much safer you are. You'd go in by yourself if they put you on a team, and I don't know that they'd let me go with you anyway," Brig pointed out. Sojourn was pretty strict on the rules about not pairing people together who were even rumored to be hooking up. Lucio and Hana hadn't gone out together on a mission in at least a month now.
"I can handle myself," you grumbled under your breath. An uneasy silence fell between the two of you for a moment before Brig pressed a kiss to your cheek. That got a small smile out of you, so she did it again and again. You couldn't help the giggles that fell from your lips as she continued to kiss all over your face.
Brig pulled away as you started to lose your breath a little from laughing. Things had been tense at the watch point, and all Brig had really wanted was to take your mind off of it. You caught her staring, but neither one of you cared to look anywhere else. You were about to pull her in for a kiss when you caught movement from the corner of your eye.
"Go back and get help," you whispered to Brig as you scrambled to put yourself in between the shadowy figure and your girlfriend. Brig seemed reluctant, but knew better than to try and argue with you while you tried to protect her. You waited for her footsteps to quiet down before you approached the figure for yourself. "You're not welcome here, so I suggest you leave Reaper."
"They were never supposed to let you join. Jack and Ana, they promised you wouldn't end up here." His voice shook, as if it pained him to see you standing in front of him.
"I can help. I am helping. You don't know me, so you can't tell me what to do. If you want me gone so badly, you're going to have to kill me," you told him. He stopped moving around so much as the shadows surrounding him cleared away. The man was taller than you, and the closer he got, the harder it was for you to pretend he hadn't been your father once upon a time.
"Princess, I never wanted this life for you."
"Then you should have made better choices." You forced yourself to turn away from him and walk away, but you were certain that he could see the way your hands shook. You tried your hardest to steel your nerves, but when you reached the watch point to see Ana already waiting for you, you fell apart. If you were going to be reprimanded, she held off on it until you had stopped sobbing about one of your worst fears being realized: your father was Talon's Reaper.
The Brigette who asks you out after a mission and the Brigette you move in with nine months later are two extremely different women. Brig's cool confidence turns out to be very limited, but you absolutely adore the absolute dork that she actually is.
Brig tinkers a lot with your armor, but you quickly learn that it's not the same as Torb's "tinkering" at all. Brig makes very useful and well thought out upgrades as opposed to her father's "this sounds cool" method.
She's got a huge family who almost instantly accepts you into the fold because Ingrid insists that Brigette has never looked happier before. Torb likes you because you're a fresh slate to teach things to, but no matter what he teaches you to fix or build, Brig won't let you fix things around the house.
She's in the gym working on her body if she's not in the workshop, but suddenly, there are a lot more hours in the day for other things when you're around.
Speaking of the gym, her workshop is so full of heavy machinery and stuff that you don't think she needs to work out after a full day of moving that around. Still, you appreciate her dedication and the rewards you get to reap because of it.
Brigette's best friend when it comes to grocery shopping is the bulk store. The first stop is always the food court because Brig truly can't be trusted to shop if she's the tiniest bit hungry. That list goes in the trash and her impulses take over.
You can't cook a lot of Swedish things for her at first, and it's a long trial period while you learn, but Brig will eat anything edible that you make and tell you it's delicious.
Brig is a big cuddler, but sometimes she holds you a bit tighter than what's comfortable. God forbid she rolls on top of you in her sleep because the girl is pure muscle. You have been woken up in the middle of the night several times because she was just straight up crushing you.
When the two of you watch TV or movies on the couch, your spot is on Brig's lap, no exceptions. 9 times out of 10, she is falling asleep with her arms wrapped around your waist.
Brig doesn't really snore, but she does sleep hard, like mouth open and drooling. She tends to end up in weird positions, so you don't get how she's not always tired.
Brig is an early riser of sorts, at least earlier than you, and she always gets a protein bar before she heads to the gym. By the time you get up and around, she's back for a warm breakfast and morning cuddles.
NSFW
Brig's favorite thing to do during sex is kiss you. She doesn't care where her lips are, but she's always trying to kiss some part of you.
She's a nervous giggler during sex, and it normally takes a round or two in order for her to get it out.
Brig doesn't ever really like "ruining" you, she prefers sex to be softer and sweeter. It goes hand in hand with the numerous talks that her father gave her about properly treating partners.
Foreplay isn't ever drawn out, but Brig is attentive. She waits until you tell her that you want more from her.
Brig kind of stammers a lot, but she loves for you to talk her through it. She could practically cum on command if you told her to.
Brig is partial to use her mouth because she knows her hands are a lot bigger than yours and the stretch of her fingers isn't always what either of you want in the moment.
Definitely makes herself a toy or two and spends the weekend "apologizing" for the mess she made in the dining room with her parts for it.
Brig claims that there's no size kink, but there are tells that she's definitely full of shit (fully covering your body, the somewhat gentle manhandling of your body to switch angles, and UNSUBTLE flexing of her arms when she's in missionary.)
If Brig thought it was safe, she'd hold you in the air to eat you out, but the one time she tried, you freaked out a little and it wasn't fun. She settles for carrying you around home buried deep inside of you with her strap.
Brig has a tendency to top you, but when she doesn't, you swear that you're in heaven. Brig makes the absolute prettiest noises and tries so hard to be mindful of how she clings to you/pushes you away.
Brig is big on the comfort part of aftercare and tries to postpone getting out of bed at all, but the moment you ask her for something, she's sprinting out of bed to get it for you.
Synopsis: You fall back into having a family after you join Overwatch.
CW: Mentions of Reaper. Probably gonna do more parts to this because it was actually really fun to write and I don't see enough of anything for Brig.
The hallways of Gibraltar were somewhat familiar to you as you looked through the wreckage. You hadn't been in an Overwatch facility since you were a child. Back then you had never even dreamed of being an agent. You vaguely remembered telling your father that you wanted to be a princess, just like you remembered him doing everything he could before that explosion to make you feel like one. You never made it to being real royalty, but you had been recruited for Overwatch after a particularly successful tour in the military.
You had been recon, and with the search and rescue team remaining unformed, Overwatch needed you. There had been familiar faces, changed by years spent away. You remembered everybody fondly: Ana, Reinhardt, Jack, Angela, and Torb. There were others too like Fareeha, who didn't seem quite so mystical now that you were bigger. The same couldn't be said for Brigette, who you still looked at with the same stupid wide eyes from before.
"All clear! No signs of movement on the east side," you reported in. Your search had been thorough. Things went by quicker with help, which you appreciated greatly. You had earned your place as a war hero, but you'd rather not build onto the trauma. Finding nobody was better than finding a dead body any day, even if they wanted you to find a little help. "Permission to move in to central?"
"Granted, you've been out long enough." There had never really been a time in your life when you ever thought you'd be taking confirmation orders from Jack Morrison. He hadn't been Uncle Jack for very long in the scheme of things, but that was still how you remembered him. Despite the tension between your father and him, Jack always had a kind smile reserved just for you.
You didn't waste any time in getting back to where all the agents were bunking for the moment. Talon's hit was hard and unexpected. Doomfist had been a problem, but Talon was quiet under his rule. You didn't know much about Vendetta, but she was proving to be a much bigger problem. Still, you were confident that Overwatch would stand tall if everybody banded together to stop Talon.
"There you are. We were starting to think you'd stay out there all night again," Fareeha teased. You sat next to her at what was affectionately referred to as the "kids' table" by the original agents. Fareeha was a good bit older than you and a lot of the new recruits, but in the eyes of senior agents like Jack, Reinhardt, and Ana, she was still a child. Angela was the only exception, but you were pretty sure it'd make their relationship awkward if Angela didn't acknowledge how grown up Fareeha was like she insisted on doing with you. Truthfully, you were pretty young in the grand scheme of things, but your age didn't stop you from doing your job.
"She's just dedicated, that's all. There's a reason Reyes just fly up in ranks," Cassidy said proudly. Most of the agents didn't talk about your father for their own reasons, but Cassidy had always been adamant that you know how good of a guy he could have been. You knew that if Jack was alive there was merit to the rumor that your dad was Talon's Reaper, but you preferred to think Gabriel Reyes got blown to bits instead of acknowledging the man who read you bedtime stories was capable of such horrors.
"Nobody told me I could just come back when they called for dinner," you mumbled under your breath. Even if nobody heard you that time, they had enough times before to know what you had said. Fareeha and Cassidy erupted in laughter around you, causing everyone to look over. You shrank back in your seat as Brigette's eyes met yours. She offered you a kind smile, one with none of the amusement that everybody else's held. "I'm going to my room if you're just going to laugh at me for being dedicated to helping people."
"Hey no way, you're eating with us Princess," Fareeha said as she pulled you back down to your seat. She ordered someone to get you a tray, which appeared surprisingly fast in front of you. They slipped back into their conversations from before as you ate, only providing minimal input until Brigette came over to sit next to you. At this, the rest of the table seemed to scoot away, not that you had actually noticed.
"They aren't just teasing you. Everybody does think it's kind of amazing how much extra you do in the hopes of finding something or someone that can help," Brigette said quietly. Her voice was just above a whisper, as if she wanted to keep it a secret. "I'd like to help you if you'll accept it."
"I finished my last section today. If there's anything out there, it's buried too deep for me to get. But if it wasn't just the search you were interested in, I'm training tomorrow pretty much all day. I've heard about how you get in the gym, and I'm sure you can keep up better than Fareeha did," you offered. The jab didn't go unnoticed by the woman who had been like an older sister to you, but Ana was too close by for Fareeha to get away with pinching or hitting you for it.
"Tomorrow it is then," Brig agreed with a smile. Her smile was contagious and neither one of you stopped until she was walking you back to your bunk. Everybody was sharing with the downsize, but the two of you were in opposite sections. Brig had managed to snag a spot by Rein and her father, which you could imagine was more entertaining than being stuck with Fareeha, Ana, and Cassidy.
"Well, this is me. Again, you didn't have to walk me. I know that I'm newer than you, but I do know how to get from the mess hall to my room," you teased. Brig shrugged it off as she reached down and grabbed your hands. You would have been a liar if you tried to say that you didn't want her to kiss you. Tensions had been high between the two of you since you came back, as if both of you had come to the same realization the moment you were reunited: childhood crushes did not always just go away.
"I wasn't sure, I've invited you to engineering four times in the past week and haven't seen you once." You blushed and looked away at Brig's teasing. "You're lucky I didn't walk you there."
"I'm a little surprised you didn't try," you laughed.
"The door is see-through and I didn't want my dad or Hana watching when I did this." Brig leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to your lips. She didn't pull away immediately, and within the half second it took for you to realize what was happening, you kissed her back. Brig smiled as she broke the kiss, but leaned her forehead against yours. "Come by engineering when we're done with the gym, I have something to show you."
"Y-yeah, definitely. Um, I'll see you in the mess hall for breakfast," you stammered. Brig hummed in agreement before she gave you one more kiss. This one was a little longer than the first, and you were left to lean against the door as you watched her walk off. Behind you, the door opened and you fell backward into your room, nearly onto the floor before Cassidy caught you.
"Mom, Y/n was kissing Brig!" Fareeha yelled as the door shut. You whipped around and tried to jump on her, but Cassidy was still holding onto you. The two of them laughed at you, so you did the only thing you could of.
"Ms. Amari, they're being mean to me." You looked at Ana with teary eyes, giving the illusion that they had just shattered your previously euphoric moment.
Ana just looked between the three of you before she sighed, "Children behave."
