What if... and like hear me out here. Luke wrote Bright for Reggie. So this is solely based off of the interactions between them at the very beginning before they join in but Reggie sends a look back to Luke as Julie starts singing and then he like rubs his shoulders. So like what if Reggie had a particulary bad day. Like ends up at Luke’s crying. And as soon as he falls asleep- the only way Luke can figure out how to let Reggie know he’s there for him is write this song.
