This was a great time to find out that despite what the previous owner said, the building doesn’t strictly speaking allow pets and they were constantly annoyed about his cat.
*sigh*

I now have a rabbit palace.
When most people talk about a rabbit palace, they mean a multi story hutch and run you can buy in a pet shop. This is all well and good, but I ended up hiring someone to build me an indoor rabbit run based on A) the belief that what rabbits really need is space to move, which traditional hutches do not provide, and B) my utter inability to accurately imagine the height of a foot.
It is splendid work. The carpenter has done an excellent job. I am confident that the rabbits will be very happy in it. It is also very, very large.
