I can’t believe this happened if I’m being honest 😭 I’m awkward af and even when she asked how I was doing all I could think to say was that I’m trying not to freak out and have Don’t Panic playing on a loop in my head rn 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 she complimented my eye shadow and I died 😭This was definitely a bucket list moment for me—Ellie and her music mean so much to me and to get the chance to talk to her today and tell her that means more to me than I can ever express. If you had told 14 y/o me that in 8 years, I would meet Ellie for the first time over an app called Zoom bc of a global pandemic that prevented live shows from happening, I think it’s safe to say that I wouldn’t have believed you lol. The last 8 years have gone by so fast, but you and your music have always been there for me, providing me with a place of solace when I couldn’t find it anywhere else. So much so, I have one of your albums, Halcyon, permanently inked into my skin because you and your artistry have changed me forever. You’ve inspired me to be a better writer, musician, and overall person, you’ve connected me with some of my favorite people in the world, and along the way, you literally saved my life. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully express how much you mean to me, or if I’ll ever be able to repay you for filling my heart with so much joy, but I hope this lil rant is a start. Thank you for taking the time to meet me in cyberspace, and I hope it’s the first of many meetings between us. I love you so much @elliegoulding 💙
