do you speak/read korean?
read yes, but I’m still in the process of learning so I don’t count it as one of the languages I know because there’s literally more I don’t know than I do know. I’ve said it before, I haven’t had a chance to study much in the last 2 years at the end of university so I sadly started losing a lot of what I had learned because I never routinely kept up with it which really sucks tbh. so I kinda started to do little simple things to help like using tags on insta to learn new vocab related to what I’m posting about, or reading things that are posted I come across without trans and things like that. and thankfully what I did know helped me during my time this summer in korea.
but not speaking tbh I get too nervous and self conscious of mispronouncing and making mistakes so I basically don’t, nor do I have anyone to actually have a reason to speak out loud/practice with so I just don’t? again the only time I had ever spoken korean out loud was in korea. but being nervous/scared is the same thing that happened with me and italian sigh which is really foolish of me because you can’t improve without practice so? but at least I understand about 90% of italian being spoken to me :’)))) maybe one day I’ll finally attempt to respond in italian to my relatives
