Top surgery: done. I repeat, done! Went in around 1pm, Came back around 5pm, I think. Had some lovely time with the besties visiting. Now sleeping in smol bursts while the nurses come in and check on me every 2 hours, and trying to keep on top of pain control for now.

I just.. I can barely believe it’s real, and it finally happened. It’s still so surreal to be lying here in hospital in a surgery binder because my chest is gone, at last. I’ve been waiting for today for years and years, so many times I almost gave up hope of ever getting here, but we made it y'all. Day 24 post op Impromptu nipple update! Not much to see. Some healthy skin now peeping through underneath, no more bleeding, no more nipple pads except when I’m expecting to get nudged (like on the bus), most of the edge stitches have either dissolved or broken off and the scabs have already tightened up away from the edges of my new areola. No signs of any late infections, same with incision lines.
