Chikorita is a good Pokemon and is not useless at all in Pokemon Gold, Silver and their remakes. People just like to call Chikorita useless because they aren’t too great against the first and second gyms but here’s the thing - Chikorita is only useless when it comes to Falkner using Pidgeotto, Chikorita can easily defeat his Pidgey as his Pidgey only has Tackle and Mud-Slap (Mud-Slap being replaced with Sand-Attack in the remake) and even then you can catch Mareeps near Violet City to deal with the Pidgeotto.
TL;DR - Chikorita is not useless and they are good babies.

You probably already know this but asdfghjkl and I’ve probably said it once but I’ll say it again, I don’t like enemies to lovers ships nor do I like ships that involve a toxic individual (there’s a number of characters I can talk about in terms of this - V/i/n/c/e/n/t (or just Purple Guy/any PG in general), H/a/w/k/f/r/o/s/t, B/i/l/l C/i/p/h/e/r, A/s/h/f/u/r etc etc) Just all those ships involving characters like that are kind of uncomfortable for me and just kind of oof yikes. No.
