Some late replies, sorry
If you wanna try and go for the library position still, you should go for it. I mean, the worst thing they say is no. Everybody's been told no by jobs before, but you keep trying regardless, especially if its something you really really want. I work two library jobs, and when I first started, I had zero library educational background. But as I worked more, I found my passion and am currently getting my Associates in Library Technical studies. Go for it!
It’s not really that simple... I just started my first ever job, and even though I’m suffering a bit because of it, I don’t want to give up on it so easily. Plus, my dad deleted the message I got from the library anyway, so I can’t call them back and the site I applied at doesn’t tell me the information about the location or anything (which is really stupid but there’s nothing I can do about it). Thank you for the encouraging words, though, I’m still gonna keep applying to library positions. c:

It's not like this is your one and only chance to work at a library! Your jitters about the new job will get better as you continue to work there, and your customer service/other related skills will improve as well. :] Skills that you can transfer over to your next job, skills that you keep forever and become part of your professional identity. :D
That’s true... I’m just scared that I’m developing an anxiety disorder because of it, and they keep scheduling me for weird hours that only give me a short amount of time to sleep between shifts. Plus it’s creating conflicts with my family and getting rides, which just puts me through another round of stress for different reasons. It’s so tiring...
