Interdepartmental work was far and few between, rarely to be found especially between their respective departments. Their fields of work could not have been further apart from each other. The only Beatrice thought may overlink was the level of danger they each played with every single day. Coming to work meant a certain risk. Perhaps that was the one quality about Alastor Moody that Beatrice Abbott could admire. After all, there was nothing else left for her to look upon favourably. Not after he’d done. A grudge she held because of how much her family meant to her. Oh, Bea would have torn the world down for her siblings. Or build it back up.
There was hesitation in her knock, a moment spent wondering if perhaps she could ignore this task and hope someone else would pick up on it. In truth, it was only going to lead to more questions. Why didn’t she pick up the items as requested? Why did she not bring them to a place that could store them more securely? Why would she dare let something personal cloud her judgement? Because at the end of the day, Beatrice was a most stubborn witch and the only thing stronger than that was her curiosity and dedication to the job as an unspeakable. Finally, the knock echoed back from the wooden door in front of her, as she entered slowly.
When finally she’d stepped inside her voice gave no hint of how she felt about the one in front of her, only letting professionalism speak. “I’ve been sent to pick up the items from the manor case, the one’s requested to be taken down the Department of Mysteries.” That was about as much as she could say in regard to her department. “I’ll grab the boxes and then I’ll be right out of your hair. Where can I find them?”
