After seeing Kuja again, Garnet couldn't think of anything but Alexandria. She was here, not there, and was suddenly very anxious. She could only imagine the chaos that could be going on there because she wasn't there to protect it.
Then again, just how much protecting could she do? It'd been a while since she'd done any sort of fighting; she was probably way out of practice. In fact, she'd do more harm than good. Beatrix, Steiner, and their armies would be the ones to do the protecting and fighting, she just had to rule the country.
The more she let that idea sit, the more she hated it. She wasn't just a queen who ruled over a country. She was a summoner; she could do just as much as everyone else.
Putting her head in her hands, Garnet sighed. She was being too hard on herself. There was nothing going on at Alexandria, seeing Kuja just put her on edge. Maybe she just needed a break.
