Marty Fusion McFly took his first youth adventure in my hands and acquired a new sticker, Hannah and Grace survived without their phones for a whole, and we got to soak in our sweet Lord and His mighty love for His children on this 'holy dirt.' Thankful for these youth, thankful for those sweet falls, thankful for His grace. Thankful for His unadulterated love, His ability to break down the walls and lies that we build up, His ability to destroy the mirror, and then creat something beautiful and whole out of the pieces. Good stuff. Thankful that their favorite worship song is "Good, Good Father" and the realization that He is just that and much, much more. There are moments when youth ministry is tough, when you're so sleep deprived, when you struggle to create a meaningful and fun and understandable lesson, when few listen...but He is there, He is good, and these youth make every single moment, whatever it may be, worth it.
