“I can’t believe those assholes took down my ship.” Niner grumbled while checking her sidearm. She hated it when they missed the anti-aircraft canons on the intel.

The young agent had been out of commission for months now. That fact alone made her antsy. This all had been a lot to take in; not having full mobility anymore, not having her long hair anymore, being stripped of so much of the confidence she’d faked her way to portraying since the beginning of her time in PFL. 

Things were getting better, though. ...Very slowly, but it was getting better. She’d been getting better with moving her hand. Hell, she could even somewhat grab things again. It felt so pathetic to feel so proud of herself for such a small accomplishment, but after not being able to move the entire left side of her body for months, she felt like crying every time she managed to move.

She wore a hat to cover her head most of the time as her hair was slowly growing back after the surgery she had had to get the bullet out of her head. It was growing out steadily, but... she really hated how she looked.

Most everyone, at one point or another, visited pretty regularly within her spot in the medical wing. Wash especially had been keep her company most of the time, to keep her from getting lonely. York sat with her on some days. And North, and South. Even Wyoming and Florida sometimes.

Connie just... she hadn’t seen or heard a word from Carolina since the incident, other than a little message from York sometimes. She supposed it was better than nothing.Honestly, she tried not to think about it too much. All it did was just add to her long list of things that she thought way too much about while lying in her bed.
