okay , but seriously . the first thing that comes to mind is his obsession with horror movies because duh , obviously . horror movies were definitely something that randy introduced him to when they were kids . stu often slept over at randy’s house when his parents were out of town and , in their small acts of childhood rebellion , they would sneak movies up to randy’s room and watch them . this also is probably the coolest thing stu can say randy has done to date , but it’s something that they kind of grew into liking together . of course , stu eventually trades those movie nights in . deciding instead to use them to take notes from , to study in order to plot the murders with billy , but the interest definitely started with randy for sure . which is also why stu mocks him so much for it still . because while stu kind of grew up and grew past the little movie obsession , randy found his niche in those films , his identity .
stu’s also very much into extreme sports , or so they were referred to in the nineties . i’m not so sure what they’re called now because i’m totally not cool anymore . but this includes skateboarding , inline skating , surfing , water skiing , and to a lesser degree , skiing . his preference lies in skateboarding however , and outside of his friendship with the main clique you see him hanging out with in scream , stu can be found with his other group of friends ie. the skateboarders / stoners of woodsboro high . they’re some of his best friends outside of billy and randy , and are the ones who can be seen running through the school in the father death costume , at his ‘ fiesta ‘ getting high , and hiding all the drugs when dewey crashes the party with gale .
music is another hobby of his . he’s rarely seen without his headphones on , and his room is covered in band posters . i definitely see stu being the the person in his friend group that tries to drag his friends to concerts whenever bands he likes come through LA . he might even go as far to buy their tickets in order to persuade them to come with him because it’s such a passion of his , and something that definitely brings him comfort when he’s left at home alone . . . which is a lot . so listening to music , being up to date with all his favorite bands , and attending their concerts is also something that very much piques his interest .
before i write a book , i’m just going to list a few other things that he does that don’t really need to be fleshed out too much . he likes playing video games , going for drives around the countryside of woodsboro blasting his music in his car , playing soccer , volleyball , or badminton in his front yard ( preferably drunk because its more fun that way ) , throwing parties , and otherwise just having a good fucking time . oh , and for a hit in the feels , as a kid he played baseball and soccer , but dropped out when his parents got too busy and stopped coming to his games . that , and lettering in a sport is something that’s way too square for him to ever be seen doing .
