Britain’s Top Designer

The 6th Season of Britain’s Top Designer saw ‘Vaseghia’ as the winner during London Fashion Week.

VASEGHIA is the haute couture label of London-based British-Persian Fashion Designer Alisa Vaseghi.

With top designer Judges Bernard Connolly, Celebrity Photographer Nicky Johnson, Presenter and Stylist Lolo Royle and TV presenter Nicky Hambleton along with Fashions Finest CEO Deborah St. Louis. These are the eyes of the industry and experts at their field.

Vaseghia most recent collection inspired by the connecting tissues of the human brain, creating a new material by using one of the most powerful hand-held glue guns available, 1000 watts of power with pneumatic speed loader and glue sponsored by Glue Guns Direct! It’s good to see the Haute Couture label using non-conventional materials to create something different but beautiful. Her fabrics are made from dry glue!

Previous winners from the awards have also been  Helen Woolams aka Hellavagirl and John Herrera which have gone on to gain huge success since winning and it’s clear to see that Vaseghia will follow along this path.

Human Meat Freaks

  The Audience goes wild and dances on the catwalk at the Hellavagirl show. The acrobatic dancers that opened the show to the “Human Meat Freaks” really pulled in the audiences attention for what was about to come.

The no “Fucks” giving designer that is breaking the mold in fashion, introduces us to a snippet of menswear, genderless fashion and tulip dress the graces the catwalk as each model owns each look. Not only does Helen Woollams, the brainchild behind the brand Hellavagirl creates stunning Couture pieces, but also wearable pieces bringing in an attitude of rock, sex and awesomeness. This designer is well becoming known for her work, and with each season she grows but keeps her statement style of her handcrafted designs, full of sparkle from the sequins, huge shoulder pads, and oversized capes.

Inspired by a love of flesh, fetish and guilty pleasures, genderless extravagance it’s clear to see why her following has grown into a cult.
