BOTD: Water Rail

Water Rail (rallus aquaticus) 

The Water Rail is a relative of the Moorhen and Coot. It is more often heard than seen, making calls often described as piglet-like squeals. They are not often seen in flight, as they prefer to migrate at night.

Scottish wildcats are basically big fierce tabbies with more angular faces. Apparently there’s this whole thing in Scotland where they keep breeding with domestic cats and producing big fat sassy half-tabby offspring.
