So Blumhouse and Hulu are terrible rn

For anybody that follows me and for whatever reason doesn’t know: I’m a hella big fan of Mars Argo and kinda Poppy to a lesser extent ( Though that’s been changing in recent days)

You may or may not have seen me reblogging stuff about what happened to Mars argo, for those of you who don’t know you can learn about it at these links here here and here.

What happened to her was years of being backed into a corner because of Titanic Sinclair, and just to imagine the entire situation is nothing short of horrifying. 

But that’s not the main point of this post, no. You see there is an anthology series on Hulu that collaborates with Blumhouse to make seasonal horror movies, cool right?

Usually yes, but they’re most recently announced movie for this series “ Into the dark: My valentine” is a direct rip off of the horrors and very real situation that Mars argo went through. Mind you Mars argo literally just got out of this horrible situation last year. 

“Levin both wrote and directed the film, which "follows a pop singer whose songs and artistic identity have been stolen by her ex-boyfriend/manager and shamelessly pasted onto his new girlfriend/protégé. Locked together in a small concert venue after hours, the three of them confront the emotional abuses of the past…until things turn violent."

That is the description for this movie, take it as you will but I implore anybody who wanted to see this to boycott it if you can. The creator of the movie did not consult Brittney (Mars argo) Or Moriah (Poppy) who were both long term victims of manipulation and abuse for years. It aims to profit off of both of their very recent traumas and Brittney’s story in particular, while not mentioning that it was inspired by the situation at all. Not even consulted over to see if Brittney (The main victim of all of this) would take offense of any kind. ( Which she seemingly did as she unfollowed the main actress of the movie after it was announced.)

They stole her traumatic story and used it for a cheap horror movie. Im pissed, and people who hope to support victims of abuse should be to.

I just know I’m happy Mars Argo (Brittney) is back and she’ll be sharing her new music with us.
