Teal, for the color thing!

Describe a color: teal

The meddlesome green. The beach during the summertime - the shallows where the sun shines through to the sandy bottom. It is blue Curacao, and rum, and pineapple juice garnished with a cherry.It is dancing through the spray of the sprinkler that is set up in the yard to water the lawn.

Hi Christine! I haven't been able to turn up much that was helpful in my internet perusal, but I was wondering if you know anything about inhaler use as related to singing. I know theoretically steroids are not necessarily fabulous for you. I was recently diagnosed with exertion-induced asthma and given an albuterol inhaler. Usually I use singing along with my iPod while I walk as a way to ensure my breaths stay deep and fairly even- but is doing this after using my inhaler a bad idea?

I did some research on the medication website I trust, but I couldn’t find anything unfortunately.  Followers?

Well, it’s been a while! ha ha, I stopped because of school and work and all that. But summer is coming up so I’ll try to open up my inbox again!

For the "Impossible" anon-- it would probably work well! I'm assuming from the song choice that they're aiming for Glinda or Dorothy rather than the Wicked Witch. The Witch has a much deeper, jazzy style, but Glinda and Dorothy are both pretty classical style. Dorothy's focus isn't on hitting those high notes as much as it is on a clear tone. Food for thought!

Had a response about the shoes: I think it's just because the swing shoes are so versatile, honestly. The soles are flexible, the shoes themselves can be turned into taps, the straps keep the shoe on better, there's decent support... that's not true of most other dance shoes. Ballet shoes would obviously not be appropriate for most shoes, and ballroom and tango shoes don't allow for the kind of flexibility that most choreo routines in theatre require because they're actually meant to be rigid!

On the TV show anon: I can see how it would be good especially because Alan Menken deliberately writes in sort of musical nods to other shows. But it's also very Disney feeling, so my director always hated it. (He was very anti-Disney for auditions.) maybe try to feel out the director's stance on it?
