⏤ Luke felt offended that Ricardo thought he could beat him up on drinks. The challenge is more than accepted. After spending his time with his girl Uni, he went straight to the bar, it was a low-key place compared to the fancy ones he used to go. He is always an adventurer in exploring new places, and getting to know new people… Seems more like his jam.

He was a bit surprised that a fan recognized him, and he took a photo the them, giving an autograph. Then he sat at the table at the bottom of the bar, alone, waiting for Ric to show up. 10 O'Clock. He was there as he stated. He did not know if the other man was punctual too.

He has an idea what’s happened. Context clues, the telltale anxiety…. his ex has killed someone, hasn’t he? Maybe in self defense, maybe to save someone else. But that’s what it is, he can bet on it.

Oz orders Chinese food, and gets out glasses of water. He leans into a forearm crutch - he’s been doing better. And any other time, he’d be inviting Ric over to show off how much more energy he has. How much better he can move… but today isn’t about him. Not when he can tell Ric is hurting.

One of the few people he’d put before himself. Always.

God, he’s wondered about what they’re doing. Is this a relationship again? When Ricardo’s been spending so much time with him again, when their texts get so mushy? When Oz can be himself and be honest again? Still. The door opens and Oz is immediately making his way over. “Hey…. we don’t have to talk about it, but I’m here. If you do. Okay?”

⸻ After finally finding her bestie at the party, Liz gave a peck Alex, before rushing toward him, Alex was watching her from afar and went to the bar to grab a drink. The Aussie was running to Ricardo, and she almost seemed like a child running in Christmas morning to check her gift. ❛ PICKLE RIIIIIC! ❜ And yes, she had to get it out of her system and jump onto him. Giggling, pulling her golden hair from the corner of her crimson lips. The way she greeted him, it seemed like they hadn't seen each other for more than 100 years. When they talk nearly every day via text. They don't see each other often, because both has their own commitments to do. The annoying part of adult life.

❛ I have something for you. Kinda… But I can't show here. ❜ She brought weed for her and Alex and a small stash for Ric as well. ❛ Luke said we could be in his VIP private area. He put our names on it, let's go? ❜

"Can you explain the... allure of the inflated castle thing?" Asa stares at it in rapt curiosity from where he stands, hands tucked into the pockets of his jeans. It's a rare occasion where he wears something sleeveless, showing off countless tattoos and a few scars. But it's hot - and he hadn't planned to be here long. And yet, he's been distracted. "Does it do anything? Or do people just climb in and... jump?"

"Don't look at me like that, it wasn't me.... this time." Avi holds his hands up in his own defense, standing by the car that is more than a bit dented near its left headlight. "I know you want to joke about grandpas on the road - I can see it in your eyes. But this was a wayward parent's mini-coop coming at me full-speed in the school parking lot. I promise."

He's going to make dinner. And that alone is a big deal - something Oz used to enjoy doing far more when there weren't so many obstacles in his way. He's usually ordering out or making something simple.

Today, he has Ricardo coming over. And from the conversation, it seems like he'll be staying the night. It's the first time in a while- and Oz is overthinking just about everything. Down to the sheets on the bed, if the sofa's where it was back when he and Ric were dating. Would he like a pasta dish? Alfredo or vodka sauce? He's second-guessing everything he knows about him. The things he's learned in their years together - all because he just wants everything to somehow be okay.

And when he leans into his forearm crutches, dinner already in the works, and walks himself carefully to the door at the knocking... when he sees Ric, he briefly feels like maybe it will be okay. A dumb grin is on his face before he can help it. "For your information, the bedhead's probably gonna be the highlight of all this." He teases. "That... smile's a close second though. Thanks for coming. Dinner's almost done."

Luke was in his Superman costume, towering over everyone with that height he has, close on the dance floor, looking at the DJ and moving his head according to the beats of the song. Biting the silver necklace his mother gifted him. Until he heard somebody and turned his head to notice it was Ric. ❛ Hello. ❜ He says with his warm smile.
