I’m so proud of this drawing and the love it has received. This Ripley-Grier location is very special to me. I’ve had so many important life moments here, including auditioning for college. Aside from the countless performances, auditions, classes and fun times I’ve had, I do have a special story that stands out. Once upon a time I wanted to book a specific room to rehearse a performance I had coming up and I was told it was unavailable. As it turns out, it was being used by Lea Salonga for a preview of a concert she was performing. I love Lea so much. I have been a huge fan of her’s since I first heard her sing on the Aladdin album. So I went over to that part of the studios, sat outside the room and listened to the whole show. It was just me in an empty hallway listening to Lea sing her heart out and it was magical. And then of course when she was done I rehearsed my own thing 😄That’s what I love about New York and what I love about RG.
