You can enjoy the classic comfort of a grilled cheese sandwich with this Broccoli Grilled Cheese Burger, which has a juicy burger and healthy broccoli. There's a tasty and filling twist on a regular burger.
Ingredients: 1 burger patty. 2 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup of broccoli florets, steamed. 2 slices of whole wheat bread. 2 tablespoons of butter. 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Season the burger patty with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Grill the burger patty to your desired doneness, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on top during the last minute of cooking. While the burger is cooking, butter one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Layer the grilled burger with cheese on top of the bread slice in the skillet. Spread the steamed broccoli florets over the burger. Top with the remaining slice of bread, buttered side up. Grill the sandwich until the bread is golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Slice the Broccoli Grilled Cheese Burger in half and serve hot.
