Creative Exchange
Last month, EMS held the first of our 2017 Creative Exchanges.
Creative Exchange, which takes place in rural Argyll, provides ensembles with the opportunity to spend some time away from hectic daily life so they can focus on rehearsing, planning and collaborating, all with central support from EMS.
Three ensembles Fauna, The Monzani Trio and The Brodick Quartet spent four days at the beautiful Space to Create in Crear. The groups rehearsed, discussed their new project ideas with EMS and shared their skills with one another during collaborative sessions.
“The time and space available to us at Crear allowed us to rehearse in an intensive and productive way... we noticed a marked improvement in our ensemble by the end of the week.”
“The serene and tranquil settings as well as the period of consecutive days to work closely together made working much more fluid and there was a feeling of momentum as opposed to when we normally meet to have to pick back up from a previous week. “
“It was lovely to spend the time with one another and meet new people.”
The weather was rather lovely too which is never a bad thing! We can’t wait for the next one!
