2x08: Lapa'au-Where they find clues and a dog
Agent Jensens house doesn’t look like it’s been tossed. But Danny has found evidence that someone has broken in and tried to drug a poor dog just to get to this infamous red book. And Danny wants to kill them.
Hero confront their stalker villain to get some of their items back?
Et voila. If you guys like my stuff then my whump sideblog is about to get busy, so if you’re interested you can head on over to there. It’s called @tenmillionwhumperflies but Tumblr has decided it needs censored and I can’t tag it. I’m appealing against that atm. It’s hit at the WORST time too but nvm. Anyway, on with this show.
Hero unlocked their door with a yawn and their eyes half-closed. They stretched and used their hips to open the door wider with a little creak, almost a whimper. "These nights are getting longer," they mumbled, switching on the lights and locking the door. They turned around to face the sitting room, only to pause. Things were not as they'd left them.
For starters, their favourite blanket was gone from sight, no longer draped against the back of the couch waiting for them. Hero frowned and looked around, maybe it had slipped off?
"Nothing... that's weird, I definitely left it there."
Unease began to creep up Hero's back like an insect. They shuddered and continued to look around, feeling so much more alert now.
The blanket was not the only thing that was missing. On top of that, the photo frames strewn around their home were gone and Hero knew then to expect foul play. They clenched their fist and kept looking. They looked in their bedroom only to find some precious ornaments were gone, cheap, but irreplaceable in the sense of sentimentality.
Someone had to know those things about Hero to know their importance. "[Villain]," they ground out. "I'll kill them!"
Hero unlocked their door and stormed out, slamming it shut behind them.
_______
"Perfect," Villain murmured, lying down in their bed, surrounded by more of Hero's things, a soft fluffy blanket that held their smell, photos of them and their family all through their life, and the ornaments, some of which were homemade. It gave Villain such a fulfilling feeling of knowing Hero, of being part of their life. It was so comfortable, so welcoming, making their shrine for Hero practically home for them.
The tranquillity was broken by someone hammering on the door like a possessed animal. Villain inclined their head for a moment in confusion, but there was no need to get up. The door broke open with a solid crack.
"Where the hell are you at?" Hero snapped. Villain's heart rose and they beamed. Hero was here! Angry, but here! Was this really all it had taken? Perhaps it was that picture with their grandparent that had gotten them to come here so quickly.
Villain didn't get the chance to stand up by the time Hero came storming into their room. They froze in the doorway, their face distorting in disgust at the sight of the room. Villain wasn't able to pick up on it.
"You're finally here!" they smiled. "I've been wanting to see you for so long."
"Give me my stuff back before I rip your head off and take them back myself!"
Villain gestured to the photographs surrounded by candles like a memorial.
"You're mad," Hero seethed. "You really are." They stormed past Villain and started to snatch up their possessions, putting them into a bag that Villain had taken out of a charity shot bag Hero had left on their doorstep.
Villain grimaced and grabbed them by the wrist. "No! Leave them, I. I need them."
"What you need, is help."
"Then help me. We. we should be together [Hero]. I'd do anything for you- anything? Just say it and I'd do it."
"Then get your hands off me," Hero glowered.
Villain did so reluctantly. "I just want you to be with me. Do you have any idea how incredible you are? Do you know how much you mean to me?"
Hero stroked the photo frame of clearly their most treasured possession. "It doesn't matter how much I mean to you. This," they gestured around them. "It's wrong, it's disgusting, and quite frankly, it's terrifying."
"B.but it's all for you. I love you!"
Hero shook their head and stepped back. "You're sick, [Villain]. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. What you're doing cannot continue. Pull a stunt like this again and I really will lose my shit. Keep out of my house."
Villain grabbed at them again before they could get out of the room. "What do I need to do to win your heart? Tell me. Please, I'll do anything. I. I can be good, I can treat you like royalty- or not. I know you don't like to be coddled. Just please, what do I need to do to be with you?!"
Hero shoved them away, shaking their head. "Keep away from me, [Villain]. Get help, but we can't be together."
Words of poetry and adoration shivered on Villain's lips, unable to appear and make the words they were sure Hero needed to hear to fall in love with them.
Hero didn't hesitate a moment longer. They took off running with no idea if Villain was following them or not.
