He found her in the midst of the sand phantoms, an exiled witch captive to a dying outpost, young, vibrant. Dangerous. A scavenger among the dunes and, as fate would have it, his traveling companion.   

Worn down, bleeding out, they follow this lonely road in the middle of nothing to the end of nowhere. They walk in silence, feet tired and hearts hungry, lost to the ash and emptiness of a world moved on. 

They have haunted this road before, have they not? Yes. But in a different when. A different where. And yet, how many times must they come to realize that it all leads to the same end? Each other. 

But... at what price?

Broken Scion - CH:V Teaser

Her face turns, his lips grazing her cheek as he steps back, and the staff quakes in her grip. He’d given her a compliment. A compliment laced with acidic condescension, but a compliment nevertheless. Her confusion blossoms in the dark as effortlessly as the blush reddening her cheeks. He wishes he could see it.

“You are dangerous.” his smile betrays hunger in his words. “All those scratches on the wall by your cot in that dismal room. Counting the days.”
