Dark!Reylo Modern-AU Fanfic Aesthetic : Hellish Menagerie

A grisly murder investigation leads fresh FBI agents, Rey and Finn, down a twisted and dangerous rabbit hole of opulent parties, drugs, human trafficking, dirty politicians and one deliciously magnetic Kylo Ren at the very crux of this corruption. What game is he playing? How could one survive living this way? But is he as evil as he makes himself out to be? Or is he in trouble? Was it possibly Kylo Ren who alerted the FBI of the murder in the first place?
I need some help for my AU fanfic, Hellish Menagerie. I’m currently brainstorming Finn’s and Rey’s dynamics (they are FBI partners for those unaware of this project) and I’m debating on what dessert is Finn’s and/or Rey’s weakness. I’d like to know what you think.
PROGRESS REPORT
Broken Scion: hand written (CH 4-5 + beginning of CH6) /// major plot developments as well as Reylo slow burn goodness incoming
Leave Me to the Wolves: typed/edited (CH1 *mostly*) /// a more light-hearted Reylo project -- somewhat anyway -- with Finnrose as a major secondary pairing
Hellish Menagerie: still brainstorming, very dark, sweet Finn and Rey BFF moments, lots of UST and Reylo moments that don’t quite lead to deliciously sexual entanglements (I’M EVIL AND YOU WILL LOVE IT)
Revising CH3 on Broken Scion and finishing the last bits (additions I wasn’t sure on before the revising). I’ll probably update in the next few days.
Also, dreamed up a new Reylo fanfic idea (that makes 4 now *sigh*). Dark modern!AU with elite parties, dirty politicians, human trafficking, a murder investigation that leads fresh FBI agents, Rey and Finn, down a twisted and dangerous rabbit hole of corruption, and the deliciously magnetic Kylo Ren who enjoys playing mind games... but is he as evil as he makes himself out to be? Or is he in trouble? Could it have possibly been Kylo Ren who tipped these FBI agents off about the murder in the first place? (Current working title, Hellish Menagerie.)
