Some time later, things were becoming a little busy at Sugar Cube Corner. The sky was clear and every pony was in good spirits.

Inside, Pinkie was hard at work icing a large tower of cupcakes for an hour. Pinkie wiped a few beads of sweat off her forehead and let out a sigh.Pinkie: ...Five hundred and sixty-eight... Phew.

Now finished icing the large tower of cupcakes, Pinkie, covered in icing and cake batter, slid down the ladder with a smile on her face. Down on the floor, she was met by her pet baby alligator, Gummy, who was currently giving Pound Cake, the Cake’s son, a ride.

Pinkie: Look at that, Pound Cake! I am so close to breaking my personal cupcake-icing record!

The baby pegasus sucked on his pacifier as he looked up at the tower of cupcakes.

About that same time, Mrs. Cake came in with her daughter Pumpkin Cake. Mrs. Cake had a note in her hand and seemed rather shocked about what was written on it. Pinkie, on the other hand, was busy reveling in her work.

It wasn’t much longer until Keira joined Pinkie and Twilight once again. She smiled back at Pinkie, who was still telling her story to Twilight. As Pinkie kept talking, Twilight sighed irritably. Pinkie: And if you're new, that meant you haven't met anyone yet! And if you haven't met anyone yet, you must not have any friends!

Keira: But I’m her friend!

Pinkie: Oopsies! My bad! But I didn’t realize it then, so I thought you were lonely. And then I thought about being lonely, so then I got sad. But then I had an idea, and that's why I went-

Pinkie stopped again to gasp for even more dramatic effect to her story. Keira was rather surprised that Pinkie was able to talk for so long without having to stop, but she was still happy that she threw the party for her and Twilight. Twilight was still trying to ignore Pinkie as she approached a table to get a drink.

Pinkie: I must throw a great big ginormous super-duper spectacular welcome party and invite everyone in Ponyville! See? And now you have lots and lots of friends!

While Twilight was catching up with her Canterlot friends, Keira had an idea when her stomach growled a little.

Keira: Hey, I don’t mean to interrupt or anything, but could we get something to eat? I’m getting hungry again!

Minuette: That sounds like a great idea! Lunch with the princess!

Twinkleshine: Let’s go to Donut Joe’s! I hear he’s got a special going on today!

Lemon Hearts: Well what are we waiting for! Let’s go!

While Lemon Hearts, Minuette, Twinkleshine, and Keira moved ahead, Twilight fell back a little bit with a sigh. Spike soon met up with her for a small pep talk. Spike: See, Twilight? None of your friends hate you! They’re actually really excited to see you! Everything’s going right! Twilight: That’s just it though. They might be fine, but what about Moondancer? If she hates me, then the others might too... Spike: Why not ask the others about her? Twilight: Maybe I could do that. I don’t know how well that will go though...

When the group reach Joe’s Donut shop, every pony except for Twilight and Keira walked in. Keira pulled Twilight to the side to check up on her since she seemed a little off.

Keira: Hey, are you doing alright? I noticed you fell back from the others on our way here. You seemed bothered by something. Twilight: Yeah, I’m fine. Go on ahead with the others and find a seat for us, alright?

Keira: Okay. Just if something’s wrong, you know you can talk to me about it.

Twilight: Thanks.

Derpy Hooves leaves the flower shop, desperately trying to find flowers for the wedding like Matilda asked.

Derpy: Oh, this is awful! How I get the flowers now?

Elsewhere in Ponyville, two close friends were having a conversation as they walked around town. One was a unicorn and the other was a vampire pony.

Daisy: So that’s why I decided I’m not going to another Banana convention. Lucia: Wow. I didn’t think that was going to happen. That’s almost as bad as me trying not keep from trying the blood of other ponies on a regular.

Daisy started to fall back a little at the mention of blood. She suddenly became a little worried.

Daisy: You’re not going to suck my blood, are you? Lucia: Don’t be ridiculous! I don’t have any reason to take the blood of a friend! side from that, I’ve already had my blood pill this week. It’ll be another three or four days until I need to take it again.

Daisy let out a sigh of relief and started to catch back up to Lucia.

Daisy: Goodness, don’t startle me like that. You know how I feel about that.

Lucia: I’m not the one who made the assumption blood was going to be sucked, now was I?

Daisy: I know, but I still get a little uneasy at the thought.

Pearl: Oh, so in the end your friend did help you get wedding invitations made up!

Keira: Yes! And she’ll let me know when the final is done so I can look at it.

Pearl: I’m so glad you and Twilight were able to get that sorted out.

Keira: Me too. Mum, I don’t mean to be a nag, but how much closer is this shop?

Pearl: Well it’s right here, Keira! That building behind us is where we’re going.

Keira: Oh! I’ve always wondered what was in that shop since I was little.

Pearl: Well, it’s been many things over the years. When I was a filly, it used to be a jewelry shop, then when I was about your age it was a toy shop for the holidays! It only recently became a dress shop.

Keira: That’s amazing! I can’t wait to see what all they have in this shop!

Pearl: I may have done some looking around before asking you to come with me. The dresses are rather nice for it being a new shop. Now, let’s head in, shall we?

Keira: Yes!

The next morning, Arid, Timber, and Desert all waited with Keira on the train platform for Keira’s train home. It was bittersweet going home. She missed her fiancee dearly, but she also didn’t want to leave her family yet.

Arid: Well, kid. It was great seeing you. I’m sure if your dad saw all you’ve done in the short time you were here, he’d be proud of ya.

Desert: Oh, Arid. Don’t be ridiculous. You know Lost would be proud of the kid no matter what she did.

Keira: Guys, you’re flattering me.

The train shortly pulled in, whistling as it came to a steady stop.

Keira: Well, I’ve got to go now. I’ll miss you all. Thank you for everything!

Desert: We ought to be thanking you, kiddo! You really did a lot to help the family!

Timber: We’ll see you next time, Keira! Take care!

Arid: One of these days I’ll try to make a visit to Ponyville to see ya! Until then, keep an eye on your mailbox!

Keira: I will! I love you all! See you next time!

On the way home, Keira pulled out her wedding magazine and thought about her trip in Trottingham. She was happy that she was able to find another one of her dad’s talismans, but was even more satisfied with the work she had done to help patch up her family. All in all, she was just excited to get back to Ponyville.

When Keira got off the train in Ponyville, she was surprised to see Discord and Kaliq waiting for her. Excitedly, she gave Discord a hug and pet her gecko.

Discord: Welcome home, Keira.

Keira: What happened, Twilight? Is something wrong?

Twilight: Just meet me in the throne room! Just you!

Without another word, Twilight teleported once again. That not only was really strange, but Keira was getting worried. What could’ve happened to make Twilight want her in the throne room? Especially if it was just her! And why the throne room of all the places? So many questions...

Keira turned to Discord, a little worried, but much to her surprise, Discord seemed perfectly fine with what had just happened. As a matter of fact, he was laughing.

Discord: Don’t you worry about me! I’m going to head back to our room and rest up some! I’m pretty tired from all this excitement. I’ll meet you back there after your talk with Twilight!

Keira: Alright. I’ll see you there.

Discord had also teleported to the castle, but instead to the room that was saved for them. Keira at first wondered why he didn’t just teleport her there too as well, but decided she wanted to some time to herself. She figured a stroll on her own would help her clear her mind of some of the excitement and would help her figure out what Twilight could possibly want her for.
