Hunting Things, Saving People.
It's a moment that is echoed for a long time. He's been traveling for months, fingers on the wheel, humming to old tunes on the radio. The lyrics of ACDC's hits among other tunes stuck in his head for days, months even at a time between hunts. He's been humming for it for a short time since he's been driving out to California. It's been well over the time-frame of needing sleep for him. He got maybe a few hours last time he checked, maybe two or three. None the less though it doesn't stop him from looking up where his younger brother is, with the skills he has. Dean knows, the elder Winchester knows pretty well how to play things out, he knows how to find and track him down. And he's doing all this because their father hasn't been home in a matter of weeks, well Dean hasn't seen him in a matter of weeks. So when Dean creeps up the stairs to the apartments, silent as the grave, it's not a surprise. Coming into the building not making a noise at all, and the wind being kicked out of him literally when Sam notices him. and throws him off guard. And a smile seems to curve onto his lips as the familiar fallout begins with he and Sam fighting in a way that they had when they were kids.
