All the girl had to do was step on a twig, and a hoard of Infected would come. The slightest snap had set them on her trail. They hadn’t exactly found her yet, but they were searching. The loud clicks ringing through her ears as loud as her heartbeat. If she could find somewhere to hide, maybe she could fend them off from there. 

Ellie made her way through the forest, making as little noise as she possibly could. How they hadn’t started chasing her in a frenzy was beyond the auburn. She could see a building in the distance, and a small amount of relief washed over her as she hurried. The building becoming more and more clear before she realized it wasn’t just a building. It was a mansion. A creepy one, at that. Chills ran down her spine, but there was no other option. Ellie had to go inside.

The girl rushed over to the entrance, pushing the doors open will all her might before closing them shut. Ellie kept her back against the door for a second, panting a bit as she looked out the window to see if they were still out there. Of course they were. If she could wait it out, they might leave.

Ellie flicked on her flashlight, shining it around a bit curiously. This was the biggest building she’s ever seen...well...besides the University but that was for many people...This...This was different. “Whoa...This is so cool...Creepy...but cool.”
