Brony D&D/SMG4 crossover idea
I recently began rewatching Brony D&D and I also listened to this
recently. I am also a big SMG4 fan so I got an idea for a crossover animatic which I am too broke to commission right now.
To explain it, I have to spoil several plot-points regarding one party member in Brony D&D.
Oin Lightbringer used to be known as Vorgrin Vineblight and his mother died in childbirth. After his father blamed him for his mother's death and basically disowned him, Olidammara (the god of chaos more or less) not only basically took him in as a son but also gave him a bad luck curse.
At the end of Brony D&D, Oin took Olidammara's place in godhood (Olidammara decided to retire and live a mortal existence) and became The Lightbringer.
The animatic starts after Brony D&D's events and during the second half of The Anime Arc when Meggy is captured by Francis and put into a cell.
Oin, in his cat guise, appears before her to comfort her before returning to his dwarf form to help her stand up and fight to save everyone. Instead of a bad luck curse, he instead enhances Meggy's fighting skills while making her weakness to water obsolete.
He also makes her a cleric which means she can heal and revive her friends which comes really handy during the Anime Arc when Desti gets fatally stabbed.
After Meggy gets turned into a human and disowned by her parents, Oin takes her in as a daughter which mirrors what Olidammara did for him.
The rest of the animatic is about the other arcs and about how Meggy having Oin as her cleric deity and father figure changes those arcs including Sunset Paradise.
Finally, we reach the Puzzlevision saga. Leggy still exists but Oin offers to use his powers to make Leggy and Meggy have separate functioning bodies after SMG4: The Split episode.
The animatic ends on the party at the end of the SMG4 finale. Meggy is running towards her friends when she looks back over her shoulder to see Oin smiling with pride at his adoptive daughter.
By the way, this was also someone inspired by Eliyora's comment that Dr.Wolf could make Oin Lightbringer singing a lullaby sound menacing.
