The divorce of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley was one that shook up the wizarding world. The marriage of Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter however, was one that took the world even more by surprise. It felt as if it happened over night for the young Potter boy. Perhaps it did, as the children were in school at the time. Or perhaps, Harry just waited shortly before the rest of the world knew for his children to know.

With the divorce of the Potter’s, Ginny had taken back her infamous last name and returned back to the quidditch world. Unfortunately, this came at a time where she wasn’t able to keep full custody of her children, leaving them to live at the newly fixed up mansion of Harry Potter and his husband, Draco Malfoy for a majority of the summer.

Albus squirmed as his mother kissed his head, scowling as she left him in the new house he didn’t want to live in. it was bad enough he had to live in a new house in a new town he was unfamiliar with, but worst of all came a new stepbrother.

Scorpius Malfoy was the first and only son of Draco Malfoy. He was an exact replica of everything the elder Malfoy was, from his hair to his expensive clothes. While he and Albus were in the same year, they were not friends.

Albus was the Slytherin Loner, staying away from the blond in all his best attempts. From the get go, they didn’t seem to get along, clashing just as their fathers had at their age. It was a redundant story.

Albus grimaces as he sees the blond standing at the staircase. “Hi,” he grumbles, ignoring his father’s words of being nice.

Draco ran his hands through his hair, well, over his hair - hair that was tightly slicked back against his head like how he wore it when he was a child. He had a black button up on, and over the top of that a emerald green waistcoat and then a cloak with short sleeves - similar to what Severus used to wear.

He sighed, letting his hands drop to the desk as he stared at a piece of paperwork in front of him, willing it to complete itself or vanish and leave him alone. He was a part of a team of underpaid, you could say ‘event organisers’ who took care of the various balls or parties which the ministry held.

The piece of paperwork in front of him was a new event, one that was going to be a joined effort of the ‘Children of War Charity’ and the ministry, had - in bold writing that Draco had been staring at, requested the night to be opened by Harry Potter. And, as Draco read the different pages of paperwork in front of him, it was his job to organise Auror Harry Potter to be there.

Draco slowly reached towards a spare piece of parchment, grabbing his quill with a deep breath and deciding there was no time better than the present - as he began to write.

To Auror Potter,

I’m writing on behalf of the Ministry who is putting together a Ball for the Children of War Charity. This Ball, planned to be on the 27th of May, 2004, has requested your presence to open and close the night. As I’m sure you know, this is a very important event and it would give the C.O.W. great pleasure if you would attend.

I await your quick reply, Yours sincerly, D. A. Malfoy, Vice President

I Don’t Need a Hero

Pansy, dressed in royal purple, as she’d promised her yet unknown date through the hybrid muggle-wizarding matchmaker service, sipped at her tepid tea. She’d chosen an out of the way place near her new flat in Muggle London for their first meeting. She’d been waiting for her blind date for all of two hours. And Pansy hated waiting. 

It was utterly humiliating to have been stood up and she was about to leave when someone pulled out the chair across from her. 

She lifted her eyes to see who it was.

HOW THE MUN RUNS THEIR BLOG .

SPEED.

Honestly varies a lot. Usually kind of slow due to school and work, and it also depends on which blog I have the most muse for, but honestly I can be found here most often. Typically I will have bursts of activity and then expanses of lurking and answering memes or occasionally working on drafts ://

REPLIES.

My brain is a clusterfuck tbh it can be hard for me to keep track of things and I will lose stuff, though not forever! If I’m excited about a thread I will generally reply pretty quickly, otherwise I really do try to go through my activity and respond to things in order unless I’m not feeling one at the moment. 

I do match the style of whomever I’m replying to unless it’s the extra tiny text, this is as small as I go. But I will go for the bold or italic formatting and the aesthetic ’&&’ if my partner is. On this blog I do use 100x100 gif icons, though I do have some static icons, and I know a few people who prefer that. If my partner doesn’t use icons however, I will not either!

I do try to match length, and while I’m often worried that I won’t be able to write enough when I start, I’m generally always able to, or I accidentally go longer. I don’t usually have a problem writing a lot. 

STARTERS.

I really need to write more open starters honestly. I only have one and it’s really long and specific.. I do post starter calls occasionally, usually I’ll come to plot for them because I don’t love the one-liners that don’t tend to lead anywhere. Even if we plot something and don’t do linear threads within that timeline I like have something larger to base our interactions in. (I really don’t tend to follow linear timelines anyway, I’m too sporadic for that.)

INBOX.

Open to anyone, I have anon on, and I’ll accept memes and questions from anyone! Memes can stay in there a long time, and i’m sorry for that, but I will get to it eventually!

SELECTIVITY.

I’m not very selective I don’t think. There are some blogs I won’t follow if I don’t know the fandom or if I don’t see our writing meshing, but I follow most people back! And even if I don’t follow a blog back, inbox is still open for memes and my IM is open if you have ideas for our muses. Sirius is a pretty friendly guy usually so it’s not hard for him to talk to people. 

WISHLIST.

I do have a wishlist tag, I don’t get to use it much actually, so if anyone wants to take a look in there and try something, let me know! I also have a lot of crossover verses for him that I like to toss him into, and if you’re in a different fandom I’m happy to plot about putting him there too if I don’t have a verse for it.

          DRACO HAD ONLY BEEN BACK at hogwarts for two weeks but knowing what he was expected to do this year in order appease voldemort and protect his parents, made him feel like he was living in a constant state of panic. it was in a fit of anxiety that he found himself rushing to the room of requirement without paying much attention to his surroundings. it was due to this, that he barely noticed that someone was following him until he was already in the room of requirement.

          the hair on the back of his neck stood up a little as he felt a presence behind him. he grabbed his wand and whipped around, pointing it directly at the person who had dared to follow him. a sneer formed on his lips as he noticed that it was POTTER.

         “ I shouldn’t be surprised that you’re skulking around, following me like some pathetic obsessed prat, ” he hissed.

              “ What do you want Potter?”

dominic smiles at his blonde friend and cuddles up to him, his head on the man’s chest. he’s just wearing boxers as he holds draco, excited that he came over to the quill shop and even more excited that making out in the back turned into cuddling on the bed. sometimes, that was all dominic needed. it was evening now and dominic was pretty sure draco would stay over. he turned his head and kissed his collarbone. “i’m glad you came over.” he told him. “and i’m surprised no one saw you pushing me up against the counter. did you use a spell?” he asked with a chuckle. // @broodingswan

Skipping||Scor & Al

Yet another school year, Albus sighed, looking out the window of his parents minivan. He didn’t want to go back. He didn’t want to be back at Hogwarts, back to the bullies, and the homework, and the tests and the stupid people who think of him as nothing but his father. He didn’t want to go back, and he just wished he could have last summer last. He had done more than he used too, spending his lazy summer days surfing and playing his guitar. He got to spend it in a world where he wasn’t laughed at, and was treated like a human.

As he pulled his mind away from the boring minivan, he gave his dad a tired grimace, ignoring all pleas from his father that maybe different friends would make things easier or that maybe he should do normal hobbies like his brother. Albus just gave him a polite wave and stepped to the train.

He didn’t see Scorpius on the platform, meaning he was probably already inside. The train was set to leave in roughly ten, so Albus had that amount of time to hopefully convince his best friend to do the same.

During the summer, Albus had formed a band with a few friends from his muggle school he attended as a young child. He was caught by the thought of performing, and he knew he could get somewhere if he got out of here. He just couldn’t go back.

Pushing into the back carriage of the platform, Albus grinned at Scorpius. Without a hi, or hello, he blurted out the words. “What if we don’t go to Hogwarts this year?” He declares, green eyes glimmering with courage that seemed out of characteristic for the brunette.
