Okay remember a while ago I said something about what if the Jury weren't witch hunters, it's all a front and they're trying to help witches, and this whole thing with Heartless&Co is because of one big misunderstanding?
Yeah, well, I've been thinking about that...
The Jury are part of the Magistratum, but only higher up members are authorized to know. (This includes Krome.)
The Wonders basically are said to be cursed but in truth they're just the most in touch with their magick.
Dock is River's Dad and gets to return home for a few days every month to check on her. He can do this because he always wears a mask and doesn't have the chance to be recognized.
River probably stays with Brook or Krome.
Also she doesn't know this she just thinks he's an Augur who's based really far away.
Bandy could do the same as Dock he just doesn't want to.
The Wonders used to be ordinary Magistratum workers (?). Diana was an Augur, Dock was a Pixus guard turned medic (turned augur to what everyone else believes), Alastor had an office job and/or a law firm, Bandy was also an augur, Lorelei was a stage performer, and Lance was a Pixus guard but was deemed too violent and was instead changed to be a body guard for higher ups in the Magistratum.
