many newt species are poisonous, some enough to be lethal to even an adult human! so if you find one, definitely don’t pop it in your mouth for safekeeping.

do you have any tips or resources for learning how to write fiction when youre shit at writing? there are so many stories id like to write, but im not good at it & it always turns out so badly lol

Getting good at writing is a long process and there is no shame in admitting you can improve in it! Honestly, we can all improve in our writing skills. 

I listen to several podcasts on writing that have helped me refine my craft, my favorite is Writing Excuses, but I also listen to the Creative Penn for indie book selling tips, and I used to listen to Helping Writers Become Authors which helped me with being more honest in my writing.

I also have read a book called Imaginative Writing by Janet Burroway which helped me think about writing a lot more. Besides studying the craft of writing I also do a lot of reading. I used to consume books like air when I was a kid, and now that I’m older I’ve had to train myself to get back into it! But I’m getting up to reading two novels a month, though my goal is to get up to 4 lol.

So study, reading, and finally practice! Write, write, write. There will never be a perfect time to do it and honestly no one will ever be a perfect writer either-- so just jump in! If you have stories to tell then tell them. You can always go back and revise and improve later.

You’ve got this! Study, read, and practice writing and you’ll get there.

tbh ive been feeling the same about posting langblr content on tumblr which is why i pretty much only reblog posts at this point & am otherwise inactive. & recently there hasnt been much in the langblr tag to reblog either. idk if im being honest after realizing stuff about the community & language learners in general ive just felt extremely disconnected & have been considering ditching my langblr for a while now. ive tried other language communities & they just reconfirm what ive been thinking

yeah i understand how you’re feeling :/ it really sucks, because it was pretty nice to have so many ppl helping others learn languages, but now it’s not quite the same thing anymore

hi, im doing well! the past week ive just been working on putting together my secret santa project for another langblr/studyblr & i finally got it done & queued so i can relax now lol. ive also been in the process of getting all my resources together so that im prepared for the 1 year of languages challenge in 2020. lots of language related stuff for me the past week. i hope that your week was good!

Omg hi!! I’m also doing secret santa and I haven’t even started my project ahhhh, but I already have an idea :) maybe I’m motivated to start it in the next couple of days. oh that sounds so cool to participate in that challenge and it’s good that you’re already prepared for it. You seem to be very organized!  Thank you it was, I hope it continues that way!
