Blast from the past: listening to a Very Potter Musical's soundtrack is like being in Hogwarts Vassar again.
God I can still sing pretty much all of this.

Ahh so many people running for captain and I'm not allowed to vote for all of them D:
Oh, gender-bent! I thought you said ginger-bent.
Logan
Tim and I both turned 20 during regionals, so the team gave us snitch doughnuts <3
On the car, ready to drive to Rhode Island for NERC.
PUMPED UP
Doctor: Do you play any sports?
Me: Um, I play quidditch.
Doctor: That's a real sport. I've seen more injuries from quidditch than from most of the other sports here.
your thoughts on your pool for regionals?
Man, what do you want me to say?
What an intense, grueling pool. I am both excited and dreading this. One the one hand: YESSS WE GET TO PLAY AWESOME TEAMS. It feels a bit like how an Ithaca player put it on tumblr: it is like they were going to face The Avengers. All teams are going to have to fight every second of these matches. There is something amazing about games like these, they're part of why I love Quidditch and the idea that we can win these is thrilling. (Whoever says Vassar isn't competitive really doesn't understand the point my team tries to make by the way. I'm a bit like an excited dog salivating at a bone because I really want to win this, I'm going to run myself ragged trying to get back in shape from my injury these few weeks). I'm really excited to test the mettle of the team because our freshmen are still incorporating (and so am I after a period in which I was forbidden from playing or even exercising, the doctor warned me about going upstairs for chrissakes, due to injury, so I'm also probably going to have to be a back up chaser, which sucks but, whatever is best for the team man and also I just got personally tangential).
On the other hand, it feels like this type of match up should be saved for later in the regionals, and it will be grueling. The main problem that I've noticed with my team is that we need to warm up to really get intense, so having such a hard pool straight up means we're going to have to hit the ground running, which is hard. I'm also excited because: Middlebury, the 1st team, and Vassar, the 2nd team in existence, and every time we play against them we do better, so maybe this time will be our big V for Victory. Emerson is going to be interesting and I think a really, really good game, but I can't remember ever playing them, and I haven't had an opportunity to watch them play in previous tournaments between volunteer reffing and the like, so based on what other people have said of Emerson, I think it will be a cool match up, especially because we are going to have to play to our strengths of beater control and a good passing line up.
Stony brook is a team we know pretty well, but that is always, always changing, so it gets hard to gage how they will do, but they are nearly always a pleasure to play (Brotherly Love Cup last year would be the exception in my experience). I'm going to have to be honest Stonybrook: my biggest concerns are about the other teams.
I am deeply, deeply upset that Hex Ithaca won't make it, because I adore the team, I adore their spirit, and I've been keeping a close eye on their development and on hoping that their University will give them the support they deserve. Everybody should see if they can help Ithaca with injury reports and the like, and also, they give great after game hugs. This is crucial in Quidditch - any sports team can win or lose, but only Quidditch has such great spirit.
tldr; it is exciting, I have no idea why this was allowed, hey ho, come watch the clash of Northeast Titans.
I'll be there with my game face on, and ready to make the name of Vassar sportsmanship, athleticism, spirit and dedication shine.
(PS: Please don't concuss me with a stupidly violent move again guys btw, if anybody simultaneously illegaly tackles me from behind and above the shoulder whilst also beat or similar, I will not be responsible for tarnishing Vassar's name because I swear I will make my dad and brother proud and even if concussed I will show you how this chica can punch and scratch. Ok, that also got away from me. I'm kind of not sorry, play aggresive, not violently!)
So this is Joss Beach. Guess which part the Broooers use as our pitch?
I'm so amused by the fact that you can see the part where we've destroyed the grass on Google Maps XD
