A few months ago when we planned an mid-April snowboarding trip we were planning on real spring snowboarding, like in jeans and hoodies. It never crossed our minds that we would be in the middle of one of the biggest snowstorms to hit the area all winter. We had over 20 inches of fresh powder to enjoy this weekend, which lead to us also getting snowed in because of highway closures and having to stay an extra night. Last night while sitting around the fire we drank, played riddle games, got frustrated with said riddle games, laughed, and enjoyed each other’s company. This morning we got up and had a little family style breakfast around the kitchen table before hitting the road.
