The trailer was quiet and dark. You knocked on the door gently, repositioning the duffle bag on your shoulder. You jiggled the handle, finding the door unlocked.
“Dad?” You called, stepping into the living room. “Jughead?” No one answered. You slid your shoes off and shrugged your jacket off and tossed it on the couch. The duffel bag fell with a dull thud, but no one came out of the rooms. No one was home.
With a sigh, you sat down on the couch and pulled the blanket down over your legs and laid your head down. You slid your switchblade from your pocket, tightening your fist over it. After a few quiet minutes, you fell into a light sleep.
“Y/n?” Someone was shaking your shoulder. “Y/n, wake up.”
You instinctively grabbed for the blade and sat up, but quickly stopped your attack when you were met face to face with your brother, Jughead.
“Jug.” You threw your arms around your brother, whom you haven’t seen in forever.
“Y/n, what are you doing here? I thought you were living with mom?”
“No, she kicked me out about a month ago.”
“What? Why?”
You slipped the knife back in your pocket and pulled the blanket over your shoulders. “She was sick of having two kids in the house,” you lied. “It was between Jellybean and I. Obviously, I won the lottery.”
Jughead nodded slowly. “Well, you can have my bed for tonight, I’ll sleep on the couch,” he started to pick up your bag.
“No, Jug, really,” you said, “it’s fine.” He ignored you and continued to the back of the trailer. You followed after him. His room was fairly tidy, nondescript. He dropped your things on the chair and pulled you into another hug.
“Make yourself at home. And be careful with that blade,” he added, leaving you. You rolled your eyes and changed into your pajamas. His bed smelled like cologne and boy, but you didn’t care. You closed your eyes and fell asleep.
* * *
Southside High was by far the shittiest high school in the history of high schools. Back home, high school was bad, sure, but not as bad as this place. You stepped through the metal detector and grabbed your bag, pushing through the crowd.
“Y/n!” A familiar voice called your name and you turned, coming face to face with your brother, Jughead. He had left earlier than you and dad was no where to be seen.
“Hey Jug,” you said, pulling him into a quick hug. He smiled. “Where’s my locker?”
“I don’t even know where mine is,” he said, laughing. “Just keep all your crap in your backpack. It’s best to keep moving here.”
A tall, skeleton-thin boy whistled at you, smoke trailing from his mouth. “Hey pretty girlie,” he drawled, cackling.
“Back off, pot-head, before I bash your head in,” you snarled back. Jughead pulled you back, his hand digging into your upper arm.
“Calm down, (y/n),” he said, “keep your head down, stay out of the way. I don’t want you getting hurt.” You pulled your arm away.
“If anyone’s going to get hurt, it’s anyone who dares to talk to me that way.”
“Just get to class,” he said, handing you a piece of paper. “And if anyone bothers you, tell me.” I glanced up at him. “The Serpents will take care of it.” You snorted.
Jughead left you outside your first class, English. You walked inside and found a seat in the back. Reaching inside your backpack, you dug around for your brass knuckles, for protection. They didn’t set off the alarm because you had made them yourself, carving them out of animal bone.
You slipped the knuckles into your pocket and looked around the classroom. The bell had rung, but the teacher was still sitting at his desk, listening to something through his headphones.
“Y/n, right?”
You looked up and saw a girl with red-dyed hair wearing a leather jacket and old band tee. “Depends on who’s asking,” I replied, sitting back. She smiled.
“I’m Toni, one of Jug’s friends.”
“Ah,” you said. “Yeah, he told me about you.”
“What are thoughts on Southside High so far?” She sat down in the seat next to you. You replied, “Hellish.” She nodded. “So, what’s with the fancy jacket?” She turned slightly, exposing the large Serpent logo on the back.
“We all have one,” she explained.
“Interesting.”
“You probably have one waiting for you.”
“Why?”
“Because you're of Serpent blood.” You rolled your eyes.
“I’m more of a lone wolf type, but of course, so was Jughead.” She laughed. “I don’t know, I’ve looked out for myself my whole life and I’m still alive. I think I can handle another year or two of high school.”
She looked at you, full of doubt. “You can try, but the Ghoulies like to play with fresh meat, especially if they’re all alone.”
The teacher finally stood up and started talking. You turned away from Toni. She said, “I’m just saying, sooner or later, you’ll be on our side.”
Gwenith ‘Gwen’ Annelise Jones was born the same time as her half-brother Jughead and was brought up along side him and her stepmom Gladys Jones and Jellybean was born many years later. (Biracial Daughter!OC Jones)

“You are not indestructible, Gwen.” Jughead sighed handing his sister her helmet. “It’s just a race, it’s not gonna kill me, now is it?” She gave him a self assured smirk.
She took her brother’s hand in her own marvelling in the difference of skin tone between them “Juggy, I know you don’t like that I’m a serpent, but they are our family. They won’t hurt me anymore and you or dad would.”
He gave her his ever famous sceptical smile, “Promise me you’ll stop tempting fate.” Gwen gasped in fake horror, “What stop flirting with fate? It might think I’ve just been a tease this whole time.” Her brother laughed and stepped back from the bike. He joined the ranks of Serpents who were waiting to watch the race.
Gwen bit on her lower lip as she watched her girlfriend strut past her bike and twirl around to shoot her a wink, “Little minx.” she whispered for Toni’s ears only.
Toni stood just ahead between the two bikes, her hip cocked to the side and a colourful scarf in her hand. “G, I want you back preferably in once piece.” Gwen nodded at her girlfriend and revved the engine, her bike purring beneath her.
The two racers nodded to the pink haired teen, they were ready. Both of Toni’s arms went up and the with the scarf in hand, in one fell swoop her arms went down and behind her. Her green scarf blowing in the wind.
--
She loved the feeling of riding, the wind whipping against her face, the roar of the motorcycles or maybe most the angry sounds of her opponent’s loosing, every time.
but this time was different something felt... off. Her bike wasn’t responding quite how it should she drew back the throttle and nothing her bike was still hurtling forwards faster, and faster. It spluttered beneath her now being over worked she was loosing control of the bike and the finish line was now in sight the front wheel popped with a deafening bang and the Ghoulie whooped and cheered as he passed her. That was when the bike flipped sending her hurtling over the handle bars at over 90mph.
She hit the ground hard with a Hmph and hurtled over and over again on the hard concrete before coming to a rolling stop, “Gwen! Gwenith!” Her father screamed running from the finish line followed by Jughead and Toni.
FP fell to his knees unbuckling the helmet from his daughters head. “Gwen please, please open your eyes sweetie.” He cried cupping her face in his hands her scuffed helmet lay a few feet away to where he threw it. “Nooo,” He sobbed holding her unconscious body in his arms.
“SOMEONE CALL A FUCKING AMBULANCE!” Jughead turned on his heels red in the face from yelling. He dropped to his knees, his lips trembling as his fingers brushed lighting across his sister’s face.
Could I please request a fic where it’s Halloween and betty, Archie, Veronica, Jughead, and Jellybean go trick or treating.
Wanrings: so much fluff that you might get toothache!
“But B, aren’t we too old to go trick or treating? We should be at Thornhill, everyone is gonna be there, and where better to spend Halloween than a spooky mansion?” Veronica batted her eyelashes at her blonde friend and let her bottom lip jut out. Betty could see how Veronica had entranced her red-headed neighbour so completely.
“V, listen, everyone deserves a chance to go trick or treating at least once in their life. Jughead told me that he and Jellybean never went trick or treating, like, ever! We need to give them the full, candy-hyped, candy-fuelled, experience that we had as kids. I mean, what did you do for Halloween when you were a kid?” Betty finished applying her mascara and turned away from the mirror to focus on Veronica.
“Well, every year on Halloween, I would knock on every single door at the Dakota, and get either candy or money. I found out later that Daddy had paid all of the residents to play along as I was the only child living in the building.” Veronica finished sadly, fingers playing with her pearls.
Betty stood from her vanity table and moved towards her friend, placing a hand on each of Veronica’s shoulders, and looking her in the eye.
“See this,” Betty gestured to Veronica, “this is why we need to go trick or treating!” Betty smiled triumphantly as Veronica gave in, and together they headed for the stairs.
A long whistle met them as they reached the landing to began their descent to the front door. Archie was standing at the foot of the stairs, toga pinned messily around his shoulder, and tied at the waist with an old piece of red fabric.
He looked up at his girlfriend, dressed in a black leotard, a black miniskirt, and black tights and armed with a miniature broomstick. His eyes went wide and his mouth dropped open ever so slightly. Veronica twirled at the top of the stairs, giggling sweetly, the movement causing her skirt to billow around her waist. She waltzed down the stairs and into Archie’s arms, placing a quick kiss on the side of his mouth.
Reaching out, Veronica pinched Jughead’s arm gently, giggling at the glare she got. Veronica’s eyes met Jughead’s annoyed ones and then flickered up to the landing. Jughead followed her gaze and his whole demeanour changed when he spotted her.
Standing on the landing, was his beautiful Hitchcock blonde, white dress floating down to a stop just above the knee. Her hair was up in big soft curls and she had done her make-up just lie Marilyn Monroe.
Jughead’s heart fluttered in his chest as he saw the way she flushed under his gaze. Taking hold of the bannister, Betty slowly descended the stairs, pausing on the final step. Jughead took a step closer and let his hands fall to her waist, thumbs moving in small circles over her hips. Betty’s hands found his shoulders and he carefully lifted her down the last step, pulling her into a hug.
“If you ruin her hair, I will steal your beanie, got it?” Veronica playfully slapped his shoulder. Reluctantly, Jughead broke his gaze away from Betty to look at the New Yorker. He rolled his eyes playfully, but his hand subconsciously moved up toward his beanie and yanked it down around his ears.
Jughead himself had tried to refuse to dress up, claiming that the holiday was too commercialised. However, Betty had convinced him to wear a shirt, jacket, and tie, so that he could claim to be Arthur Miller, Marilyn Monroe’s third husband and famous playwright. Jughead had agreed to this however, he had not agreed to removing his beanie.
Jellybean emerged from the kitchen wearing a long-sleeved black top, black leggings, black converse, and a pair of pussycat ears that she had borrowed from Veronica. Although Jellybean had been reluctant to dress up at all, there was a glimmer in her eye as she approached her brother.
Jughead disentangled himself from Betty and pulled his sister to his side. “You ready for this?” he murmured.
Jellybean giggled nervously and looked around at the group. “Yes, I’m ready. Thank you… all of you, for coming with me. None of my friends wanted to go trick or treating, they said it was babyish..” Jellybean’s voice faltered and Jughead gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze.
“Hey, it’s not babyish, they don’t know what they’re missing out on” Betty encouraged.
“Yeh, and…free candy!” Archie chimed in excitedly, earning a small giggle from the youngest Jones.
“Okay, now I’m ready” Jellybean smiled.
As the five of them headed out the door, paper bags in hand ready to be filled with candy, Jughead hung back, watching as Archie excitedly guided his sister from the Cooper house, straight over to his own front door. Jughead leant against the Cooper’s door frame watching his sister shyly accept a handful of candy from Mr Andrews, and sighed happily. Betty wrapped her hands around Jughead’s waist and kissed his cheek softly.
“What are you thinking?” Betty whispered against his jaw.
“Nothing really. It’s just – nice, you know? Seeing her acting her own age, getting a childhood. I always knew she acted older than her years, but I never realised how much she had missed out on.” Jughead squeezed Betty closer to him and kissed her forehead.
“Come on Juggie, we better catch up to them or there’ll be no candy left for us!” Betty giggled when Jughead looked down at her with a slightly shocked look on his face. “That’s right, it wasn’t just Jellybean that missed out, this is you’re Halloween experience too.”
Jughead landed another kiss on her forehead and then took her hand in his, walking quickly to catch up with his sister.
Two hours later, they had collapsed in a booth at Pop’s. After conquering her shyness, Jellybean had become enthralled by trick or treating, and had dragged the gang around three quarters of Riverdale. Jughead point blank refused to allow them to trick or treat in the South Side, eyebrow cocked as he declared, “It’s not safe. Why do you think me and Jelly had never been trick or treating before?”
As five plates of burgers and fries made their way over to the booth, the gang assessed their candy haul from the night, declaring it to be a success. Jellybean was practically bouncing in her seat, both from happiness and her recent sugar intake. Jughead rolled his eyes, letting them land on his girlfriend. Betty shrugged her shoulders, silently apologising for the fact that Jughead would have to deal with a hyper little sister for days to come. Jughead chuckled and shook his head. He wrapped his arms around his little sister, stealing a handful of candy from her bag and ruffling her hair.

listen to this song while reading.
Y/N Jones. Popular, talented, loved, orphaned. Those four words sum up the high school student. Tossed out like a broken toy, Y/N grew up with several foster parents, all of them treating her poorly until one family came along.
The Blossoms.
They felt sorry for the girl, seeing as she was back out on the streets by the age of nine. The Blossoms took Y/N in, treated her like they did their two children Cheryl and Jason. Cheryl and Y/N were like sisters, with an unimaginable bond that never ceased to amaze everyone around them. Y/N and Jason had a bond like that as well, but to Y/N it didn’t seem quite right to her.
After Jason Blossom was pronounced dead and murdered, Y/N lost it. Her and Cheryl would spend nights in Jason’s room, talking abut the trouble they got into as little kids. When Jason died, Y/N’s creativity skills flourished, pushing her to write music and practice her instruments and vocals.
One late night, while Y/N was listening to one of her favorite songs, Cheryl had charged into her room with a flyer that had ‘TALENT SHOW’ written on it in bold letters. Y/N laughed as Cheryl told Y/N that she should audition for a spot, thinking in her head that she wouldn’t make it. It took Cheryl, and both of her parents to finally get Y/N to say yes to auditioning. Cheryl made sure that Kevin put Y/N’s name on the list no matter what, she wanted her sister to be on that stage.
While Y/N was standing by her locker grabbing her books for class, she overheard a conversation only a few feet away from her.
“Wait, she’s in the show no matter what? Even if she’s a horrible singer and isn’t talented?” Betty Cooper said this.
Her boyfriend, Jughead glared at her. Y/N knew something about Jughead that no one else knew.
They were twins.
Yes, Y/N and Jughead Jones were twins. Their father gave Y/N away because he said he didn’t want a daughter right now. At least that’s what their mother told her before she disappeared.
“She is actually really good, Betty. You don’t need to be so mean to her just because the Blossom’s adopted her.” Kevin said, defending Y/N.
Veronica, who Y/N didn’t know very well held up her hands. “Wait, you’re saying that Y/N was adopted?” The group nodded, and Veronica’s face fell. “Wow, harsh.”
Jughead shrugged, moving his jacket closer to his chest. “The rumor is he dad gave her away without the mother’s consent. No one knows who her parents are or if she even knows who they are.” Y/N slammed her locker shut, tightening her grip on her books and stalked down the hall.
Y/N had a plan, a plan that would finally let everyone know who she was and where she came from. She was going to tell the small town of Riverdale that she was the missing twin sister of Jughead Jones.
Y/N knew the background of her family. Dad was a drunk which caused her mother, and sister that se didn’t know she had to move and leave Riverdale. As Y/N thought about her biological family, the lyrics of a song came into her head.
Four years old
With my back to the door
All I could hear
Was the family war
Your selfish hands
Always expecting more
Am I your child?
Or jut a charity award?
Y/N rushed home early, pulling up the lyrics from Demi Lovato's 'For The Love Of A Daughter'. She listened to the song on repeat, remembering every word before she went back to the school the next day to use the recording studio in the music room.
Plugging in her memory drive, she clicked on the background music for this song and pressed play. She quickly put on the headphones and waited until it was time to start singing.
Y/N was so caught up in the music that she didn’t even realize that someone else had walked into the music room.
Jughead stood a few feet away from the sound booth that Y/N was currently standing in. As he watched her sing he couldn’t help but see his mom in her. The way her mouth would curve at certain words, or how her nose would scrunch up as she let herself go in the melody. Almost the way he was when he was writing.
Y/N’s voice hitched in her throat as tears started to fill her eyes. She took off her headphones and stopped the music, taking in several deep breathes before looking up. When she opened her eyes, she was surprised to see Jughead standing there. Coughing awkwardly, she opened the door to the sound booth, wiping her tears as she stood in front of Jughead.
“H-how much of that did you hear?” Y/N asked, voice a little shaky.
Jughead shrugged. “Enough to know that this song definitely means something to you.” Leaning against a chair the raven haired boy asked, “It’s about your dad, isn’t it?”
Our dad. Y/N thought to herself. She nodded, picking up her backpack and unplugging her hard drive. “Yeah.” Y/N sighed. “I’ll um.. see you around Jughead.” She said, brushing past him and walking out to the halls.
The day of the talent show came all to quickly. Y/N hadn’t stopped practicing, but always ended up crying at the same part. How was she supposed to get through this performance if she couldn’t hold herself together?
That night Cheryl had offered to help Y/N get ready. Her parents had also decided to help by getting Y/N a custom tailored dress. Y/N explained to them that it wasn’t necessary, but they still insisted. The dress was a long, silky grey dress with the straps crossed against her chest. The back was opened up and split down to the top of where her panties would be. Cheryl had done her hair and makeup, her hair curled with diamond pins tucking back the baby hairs. Her makeup was silver, matching the grey of her dress.
Y/N looked at herself in the mirrors behind the stage that she would soon be performing on. What if she screwed up? What if she started crying again, like in her practices? What if she made a fool of herself? These questions had begun to give her headaches over the past few days. Cheryl stood behind Y/N, her bright red lips twisted into a smile.
“Don’t start to worry now, Y/N/N. I know you’ll do great, and remember that this is for you, not for them. Just sing and don’t watch the crowd.” Cheryl said, encouraging her adopted sister. Y/N nodded, standing up and waiting for her call onto the stage.
Meanwhile, Jughead was talking with his girlfriend about how Y/N had reminded him of his mother and himself. Betty thought that he was just making this stuff up, but all she could do was wait and see for herself.
Y/N was announced and she walked out as the lights of the theater went down and he room went black. People began to whisper but that all stopped as the music began to play.
Four years old
With my back to the door
All I could hear
Was the family war
Your selfish hands
Always expecting more
Am I your child?
Or jut a charity award?
The lights slowly began to grow again, making it easier to see Y/N as she stood on the stage. She was already so focused on the music she didn’t see the shocked faces of the crowd.
You have a hollowed out heart but it's heavy in your chest
I tried so hard to fight it but it's hopeless
Hopeless
You're hopeless
Oh father, please father
I'd love to leave you alone but I can't let you go
Oh father, please father
Put the bottle down for the love of a daughter
Jughead watched as Y/N swayed across the stage as she sang her heat out, her eyes already stinging with tears. Stories his mother told him and his younger sister Jellybean, started to come back. The ‘missing princess’ of their ‘castle’. The empty box in he room that the initials of someone’ s name on the top. To Jughead it was slowly starting to make sense as to why his mother would leave early in the mornings on his birthday, or why she would buy an extra present that he knew wasn’t meant for him.
It's been five years
Since we've spoken last
And you can't take back
What we never had
Oh, I can be manipulated only so many times
Before even "I Love You"
Starts to sound like a lie
The crowd was mesmerized as they watched the teen girl express her feelings through this song, and how they kept wondering who this girls’ parents were. Little did they know, she really didn’t have parents.
Y/N started to brace herself as she neared the part of the song where she would break down and start to bawl her eyes out. She looked over at Cheryl for a split second, who nodded and gave her a reassuring smile.
Don't you remember I'm your baby girl?
How could you push me our of your world?
Lied to your flesh and your blood
Put your hands on the ones that you swore you loved
Don't you remember I'm your baby girl?
How could you throw me right out of your world?
So young when the pain had begun
Now forever afraid of being loved
Archie, Betty, Veronica, and basically everybody else watched Y/N as she held herself together as she let the tears free fall down her face, but her voice never shook once. They saw how strong she was, how even as she has lost everyone and everything, she was still stronger than ever.
Oh father
Please father
I'd love to leave you alone but I can't let you go
Oh father
Please father
Oh father
Please father
Put the bottle down for the love of a daughter
For the love of a daughter
The room went dark once again as the song ended and Y/N’s heels were the only thing to be heard around the theater. The audience clapped, cheered for the girl who was falling apart backstage. She ran straight to Cheryl, the red head aught her and held her as she let loose all her tears.
“Shh, you did great, Y/N! Don’t cry.” Cheryl said, trying to calm down Y/N. Y/N pulled back, wiping her eyes and trying her hardest not to ruin her makeup anymore. Y/N gave a sad, broken smile before her and Cheryl watched Archie Andrews perform from backstage.
Y/N had taken off her makeup, put on sweats and tank top, and helped the remainder of the students clean up the theater and backstage. When she decided that she was done, her and Cheryl walked out to the front doors, where Jughead and his group of friends were standing around.
Cheryl groaned, rolling her eyes. Y/N gave her a slight nudge, giving her a pleading look to not say anything. Walking up to her brother and his friends, Y/N gave a small smile.
“You did a great job, Archie. Didn’t know you could sing and play the guitar.” Y/N said, looking at the ginger boy. Archie gave a small smile, nodding.
“You too, Y/N. You were absolutely amazing. You definitely won the crowd over.” Y/N smiled,
Jughead coughed, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Y/N, can I-um.. talk to you?” He asked, Y/N and Cheryl glanced at each other, nodding at each other before Y/N turned bac to Jughead. Y/N and Jughead walked down the hall in silence, before they knew they were far enough away from the others to where they couldn’t hear their conversation.
“What did you want to talk to-” Y/N started to ask Jughead a question, but the raven haired boy cut her off.
“Are we related?” Y/N gulped. “When I was a kid my mom would tell me stories about how we were missing someone, but she never told me who. And seeing you perform, you looked so much like her and I just.. are we related somehow?”
Nodding slowly, Y/N took in a shaky breathe. “Yeah, um... we’re twins actually.” The words Y/N said seemed to turn Jughead upside down because he nearly fell against the lockers. Y/N waited for him to try and say something, but when he didn’t she just walked back to Cheryl, who was waiting for her eagerly.
“You’re twins?” Betty’s words came out thick, full of surprise and other emotions mixed into one. Jughead and his friends went back to Archie’s, so he could tell them what he was just old.
Jughead nodded. “I mean, it makes sense though, doesn’t it? We look a like, she looks like my mom, she sounds like her when she talks, all those stories Jellybean and I were told when we were kids...” Jughead ran his hands down his face. “My dad threw her out on the streets. I- how could he do that? Why would he do that?” The group stayed silent, not knowing what to say.
“Well, I say we invite her over. We all talk and she can tell us how she knows you two are twins. I think that sounds good, right?” Veronica said, quirking an eyebrow. Jughead shrugged.
The group had planned a date where Y/N would come to Pop’s and tell them how she knew her and Jughead were related, and they would see what would happen from there.
The meeting went over pretty well, Y/N explained how her and Jughead’s mother had come to her on her fifteenth birthday and explained everything to her that day. She told them everything, from the day they were born, to when their father gave her away, to that day when they were sitting in Pop’s.
Jughead didn’t know how he was feeling after that. He didn’t know if he was angry, or sad, or happy, but he knew that he felt sorry for Y/N. She had spent her entire life thinking that her family had abandoned her, that hey didn’t want her (which was just their dad really), and that she couldn't be loved. He was going to talk to his father about this, and then after that get his sister and their father to talk.
Jughead had persuaded Y/N and their father to meet at the drive in, where they had all really gone to get away from everything.
Y/N was tapping her foot nervously as her and Jughead waited for their father to show up at the drive in. Jughead grabbed his sister’s hand, squeezing softly as a way to calm her down.
They waited their for five more minutes, before their father had pulled up in the drive-in parking lot. Y/’s body went ridged as she watched the man who gave her away get out of his beat up truck. Her palms became sweaty and her heart started to pound. She was sure she was going to have a panic attack. Taking in deep breathes, she was able to somewhat, calm herself down as she watched the biker walk up to her and Jughead.
He didn’t even acknowledge Y/N, he just stared at Jughead. “ What’s this about Jughead? Is this your girlfriend?” He asked, glancing over at Y/N. She clenched her jaw.
“Sister, actually.” She stated. The man’s head twisted in her direction. “I’m the kid you gave away all those years ago.”
For the love of a daughter, this man better remember what he did.
Warnings: Cursing, the whole playbook thing, cute siblings
Request: Hey! I really love your works, they’re all amazing!
I was wondering if I could request an imagine where the reader is Jughead’s sister (twin or younger, whichever you prefer) and when Betty found the playbook Y/N’s name was in it but not beside any boy’s name yet (she never dated) however, when Jughead complains about his sister going on a date with one of the jocks, Veronica shows him a picture of the playbook and he gets really overprotective and the next day at school he hits the guy or something and then Brother/Sister fluff maybe??? @allkindofimaginesmultifandoms
Thank you ❤️❤️
A/N: Ok, this was adorable to write. The whole idea of the playbook disgusts me. Personally, I’m in love with Jughead so it was kinda odd and hard to veer away from romantic relations with Jughead to sibling Juggie so I hope I did it justice. There are also hints to bughead in this so if you don’t like it that’s fine but don’t give out about it. :)
“Hey guys, get in here. Trev was right, they didn’t even bother to hide it.” Betty Cooper turned around to the rest of her investigative crew to show them her findings. Opening the book, all the girls peaked over her shoulder to have a look at the mythological playbook.
“New girl? Is that what I’m reduced to? 9 points.” Veronica Lodge scoffed at the disgusting lies.
“Better than ‘Big girl’, 7.5.” Ethel sounded dejected at the recent discovery.
“Polly’s name is in this book, next to Jason’s.” Betty started to tear up at seeing her sister’s name next to the murdered boy’s.
“I’m so sorry Betty.” Veronica patted her friend’s shoulder.
“This isn’t – Jason would never -“ Cheryl was cut off by a furious Betty.
“It’s right there Cheryl – God! Your brother hurt my sister!” Betty rounded on the Blossom girl, but was soon cut off by Veronica.
“B, look. Just under Ethel’s name. Y/N Jones, but there’s no football players name next to it.” Veronica had gotten to know the other Jones very well, as her and Jughead were both part of the Sad Breakfast Club.
“Oh my god V, that must mean she’s a target. What do we tell Y/N? Jughead’s going to freak. Y/N Jones: ½ of the Addam’s Family.” Betty read Y/N’s name and superlative from the boook. Betty had been very close with the Jones twins for the majority of her life, so she was aware of how protective they were of each other.
Later that night at Pop’s; Betty, Veronica, Archie and Jughead were sitting around the table discussing the days events. Betty and Veronica hadn’t mentioned the playbook, as they figured they should talk to Y/N before saying anything to her brother.
“Where’s Y/N tonight Jug?” Archie asked, as she usually accompanied them to Pop’s.
“Don’t even go there. She’s gone out on a date with Jackson, you know, big brain dead football player. He’s a douchebag, but there was no stopping her.” Betty and Veronica froze at the news, glancing at each other.
“Juggie. Now don’t freak out but, there’s something I think you should know.” Betty tried to say calmly as Veronica opened the picture of the playbook on her phone. She slid her phone across the table to Jughead.
“That’s Y/N’s name, what is this?” Jughead quirked an eyebrow at the girl’s across from him. Archie looked at the girls in shock.
“It’s the football player’s playbook.” Veronica fiddled with her purse.
“You found it? I didn’t think it was real, just some thing the idiots made up.” Archie took the phone from Jughead and looked at the pictures.
“Ok. In case you guys haven’t noticed I’m not exactly bosom buddies with the football team, so please explain, what the fuck is this?” Anyone could see the apprehension growing in Jughead’s eyes. He didn’t like his sister being anywhere near the football team, seeing as they’ve never had a good word to say to the Jones twins before now.
Betty and Veronica took turns explaining the hypothesis of the book, and as they delved into further detail, Jughead hand’s turned to fists. When the girls were done, he quickly excused himself and stormed out the door.
Running back to the drive in as fast as he could, his mind was racing with thoughts of that bastard hurting his sister. He knew for sure that that imbecile Jackson had another thing coming when he got to school tomorrow as there was one thing everyone should know: don’t fuck with the Joneses.
Cracking open the projection room door, he saw Y/N curled up asleep on her bed. Relieved she was home, he decided he would talk to her in the morning. He scanned her face and arms quickly, to make sure there were no bruises, and his mind was eased a fraction to find her skin was clear. Jughead was dreading school, and hoped that there were no rumours or instagram posts regarding Y/N and sticky maples circling the student body.
Y/N Pov
Waking up to the sun creeping in the window of the drive in, you stretched and looked over to find your brother still asleep. He was still out when you got home last night, so you figured it would be best to let him sleep on a bit.
As quietly as you could you got yourself ready for the day, and made your way to Pop’s for breakfast. Sitting down in your usual booth, you recounted the events of last night. Grant Jackson had (very suprisingly, and out of the blue) asked you out yesterday, you threw caution to the wind and accepted his invitation. Meeting him at Pop’s at 8pm, you sat down and ordered your food. This was your first date, but you sure as hell knew that guys were supposed to ask questions and not talk about football plays and himself for the 45 minutes you were sitting together. When you both got up to leave, he offered you a ride home. You politley declined on 2 grounds: A) Nobody knew you and Jughead were living at the Drive In and B) You couldn’t fucking stand this guy. Taking off very quickly, you made your way home, took off your make up and threw yourself into bed, looking forward to telling Jughead about your date’s boneheadedness.
It was lunch time when you saw your brother, and the situation you found him in was the very last on your list of expectations. You were putting you books in your locker when you heard shouting down the hall. Curiosity overtook you as you followed the sounds to a circle of people chanting ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’. Sneaking your way through the many bodies, you found your brother being held back by Archie Andrews and Grant Jackson lying on the ground with a bloody nose.
“Jughead Jones! What are you doing?!” You screamed at him, worried for his safety.
“This bastard wanted to put you in the goddamn playbook.” Jughead was still struggling against Archie’s grip. You had heard talk around school of the playbook, so you were aware of what it involved.
“Yeah, ‘The Other Half of the Addam’s family’. The freak wouldn’t even let me kiss her. You were just too fucking weird for me to even go near. A whole family of goddamn freaks.” At the sound of Jackson dissing your family, you spun around.
“You sick bastard. Don’t you dare talk about my family like that.” And with that, you kneed him in the groin and walked off to get Jughead, leaving him groaning on the ground and the majority of the audience cheering (bar the dickheads and rest of the playbook crew).
“Jughead, c’mon. Let’s get ice on your eye.” You thanked Archie and dragged Jughead along to the nurse’s office.
Grabbing an ice pack, you place it on your brother’s eye as you both sit in silence.
“Nothing happened Jug. Straight after I finished my burger I bolted. He was a dick and that was way too much socialisation for me one one night.” You try to soothe his anger.
He chuckled at his anti-social twin, literally the other half of him.
“Did he hurt you?” Jughead was dreading the answer to this.
“Jug, no. Nothing happened. I swear.” You placed a hand on your brother’s shoulder.
“Good. I’m also glad I don’t have to put my hand on Grant Jackson again, God know where he’s been. By the way, when did you become so Beatrix Kiddo? Kneeing him in the balls!” Of course your brother was making a Tarantino reference.
“Thank you Juggie. For sticking up for me back there and protecting ‘the family honour’. I love you” Neither you nor your brother were great at handling emotions, both being very private and closed off people. Being open was something you both reserved for each other and occasionally others.
“Anything for my baby sister.” He smirked down at you as you both stood up and exited the nurse’s office.
“I’m literally 17 minutes younger!” You retorted, smacking his shoulder.
He just chuckles at you and slings his arm around your shoulder.
“By the way, I’m sure Betty’s probably heard about the fight by now. You should text her to tell her that her darling Juggie is ok.” You hinted at his blossoming romance with the sweetheart that is Betty Cooper.
“Please stop your mouth from moving Y/N.” Jughead’s cheeks tint pink at your teasing.
“No, no Juggie. I’m fully behind this, my twin brother and one of my best friends.” Smiling at your big brother and how much happier he has seemed since she entered his heart.
“C’mon you pain in the ass, let’s go home and put a movie on in the Drive In.” Jug said. After the day you both had, a half day was deserved.
When you got home, Jughead put ‘Airplane’ on and you ate your take-out Pop’s on the roof of your current home. In that moment the twins knew, as did the rest of Riverdale: Jughead and Y/N Jones are two peas in a pod, always on the same wavelength and always there for each other. They may have things tough, and they might not have much. But, no matter what; through thick and thin, they will always have each other.

The bell finally rang and it was lunchtime—a break from the hell that was this school. You swung your bag up over your shoulder and slid your bone-brass knuckles. You followed the crowd to the cafeteria, where Jughead promised he would meet you. The flow of students slowed as you passed a group of druggies who traded money for jingle jangle and pot.
The hallway opened up into the cafeteria and you looked around for Jug, but he was nowhere in sight. You noticed a door propped open and decided to go outside and leave the claustrophobic halls behind. On your way out, you passed a table with several kids wearing black studded clothing and eyeliner. One of them watched you walk past and even licked his lips.
“What are you looking at?” You snapped at him, glaring. You turned and continued to the door, but someone pulled on your arm, stopping you. You yanked your arm back, dropped your bag, and spun around, facing the kid from before.
“Nobody talks to me like that, sweetheart,” he balled his fists. “You better apologize.” He punched first, his knuckles smacking against my cheekbone. You stumbled, but quickly regained your posture and balled your own fists. You punched forward and caught him in the teeth with the bone knuckles, chipping one of his teeth and another bent back.
He wiped his mouth and spat blood onto the floor. “You’re gonna get it now, bitch.”
“Touch me one more time and I’ll rip your arm off,” you snarled at him, cracking your knuckles.
He punched against, catching your lip and jaw before you grabbed his arm and twisted it. You kicked your leg up, pressed it against his rib cage and yanked on it. With a loud pop and a scream, his arm dangled at an odd angle and he started to scream in pain.
“That’s enough!” A teacher yelled, two others starting to pull us apart. One of the teachers dragged off the guy, his arm hanging from his body.
“You are dead!” He screamed at me. “You are dead, Princess!”
Another teacher came up to me and looked me up and down. “You need to come with me,” she said.
“No, it was out of self-defense.” Jughead pushed past you. “Even you could have seen that.”
The teacher sighed and walked away, leaving us alone. He turned to me. “What did you not understand about ‘laying low’?” He asked as you walked back outside, picking up your bag. “That was a Ghoulie!”
“So?”
“Y/n, there are people to protect you, the Serpents-“
“I don’t need any goddamn protection, Jughead,” you snapped. He put his hands up and looked at you wide-eyed. He sighed and said, “come meet some of the gang.”
You walked over to a table with five Serpents sitting at it. “This is Fang, Toni, Sweet Pea, and Betty—my girlfriend.”
You nodded to them and sat down on the table, crossing your legs.
Jughead pushed the door open and motioned you inside. You heard someone clanking around in the kitchen. “Dad?” Jughead called, walking past you.
“Hey Jug, how was school-“ FP broke off his sentence when he saw you.
“Hi, Dad,” you said, dropping your bag.
“Y/n,” he breathed. “What are you doing here?”
“Mom kicked me out and told me to come here.”
FP stepped forward and paused before pulling you into a tight hug. “I haven’t seen you in years,” he said as you carefully wrapped your own arms around him. “God, I’ve missed you kid.”
When he pulled away he asked, “How is Mom? How is Jellybean?”
“Jellybean is good. She’s a good kid, really smart.” You avoided eye contact as you looked around your backpack for your phone.
“And Mom?” FP asked, crossing his arms. Jughead stared at you.
“She’s fine,” you lied. “Everyone is fine. It was just time for me to go.”

“Y/n?”
Once again you found yourself waking up, surrounded by Serpents. Sweet Pea was sitting right next to you, one hand on the bed. You were in a dimly lit room, the bed sheets a dull white, a constant beeping in your ear.
The hospital.
“Did you win?” It was the only thing on your mind. Not your injuries, not your own issues, not Penny or the Ghoulies. Just if you had won the fight.
“Barely,” FP sighed. “Right before we had our asses beat, the cops came and arrested the Ghoulies for kidnapping and torturing you.”
You relaxed again, grimacing as the pain hit you. It was dulled by medication, but still there. “Can I talk to you alone?” You asked FP and Jughead. Sweet Pea kissed your hand gingerly and the rest of the gang left the room.
You drew a deep breath.
“It’s about mom.”
You couldn’t look them in the eye as you explained the true reason you had to leave. You pointed out the scars, the burns, and explained the stories behind them. Mom’s drinking, her favoritism for Jellybean, the years of abuse.
At the end, Jughead had tears in his eyes, FP had anger in his. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there,” FP said, his voice hoarse.
“You had no way to know,” you replied, swallowing hard.
“I’m sorry, y/n,” Jughead whispered. “I need a minute,” he said, leaving the room.
“Do you want to be alone?” FP asked, standing.
“Can you send in Sweet Pea?” FP nodded and kissed the top of your head before leaving the room. A moment later, Sweets walked in and immediately asked, “How are you feeling? Is everything okay?” Are you-”
“Sweet Pea.” He took a breath. “I’m okay.”
He sat down and took your hand. “Oh, God, y/n,” he whispered, looking at the bruises and cuts on your arm. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t there to protect you.”
“Sweets,” you whispered, gripping his hand. “You’re here now and that’s all that matters.” He leaned in and gave you a gentle kiss. “Get some rest,” he said, “I’m not going anywhere.”

It took almost two weeks for you to be able to even leave the hospital. And after that it was two more weeks resting at home.
A few days into recovery at home, you were about to go to bed when you heard a knock at your window. You rolled your eyes at the sight of Sweet Pea’s face. Quietly, you slid open the window and whispered, “What the hell are you doing here?”
“Hello to you, too, princess,” he whispered back, climbing into your room. “I’m here to sleep.”
“Why can’t you sleep at home?”
“Because I wanted to sleep next to you.” The sight of his puppy eyes made you cave and you said, “Fine, but keep quiet.”
You laid down in bed and Sweet Pea carefully climbed in next to you, careful to be quiet and not hurt you by accident. He wrapped and arm around you and pulled you closer.
“Y/n?” He whispered, his breath tickling your ear.
“Yes?”
“I love you.” You smiled, a blush creeping across your face. You kissed his hand and whispered back, “I love you, too, Sweet Pea.”

“Pool?”
It was another exciting night at the Wyrm. Sweet Pea was standing next to the pool table, a cue stick already in hand. “Of course pool. What else?”
“I’m terrible at pool,” you said, crossing your arms.
“Well then, that makes my idea so much more fun,” he said, smirking. You elbowed him in the ribs and said, “What idea?”
“If I win, we get to do what I want tonight, if you win we do what you want.”
“This already sounds like a scam.” He laughed
“Trust me, it’ll be fun.” You picked up one of the cue sticks and waved to the bar tender for a shot of anything. You were going to need.
* * *
You really, really, really sucked at pool.
This was made clear very quickly, as Sweet Pea took the lead and slowly beat your ass. You had taken a shot of whiskey for good luck, but it was doing nothing for you.
With the cue stick in-between your fingers, you eyed the colorful balls laid out before, the alcohol not helping. “Wow, y/n,” Sweets taunted. “You weren’t kidding.”
“Shut up,” you snapped, biting back a smile. “I’m concentrating.”
“I hope you didn’t make any plans tonight,” he chuckled. “Because so far I’m winning big time.”
The game whizzed by, you slowly losing bit by bit until finally. “Well, that’s game,” Sweets said, sighing. “And I win.”
You stood up and dropped the stick back on the rack, narrowing your eyes at him. “I’m sure you cheated somehow.” He held up his hand and said, “I may cheat at cards, but I would never cheat at pool.”
“Oh no?”
“No, it’s against my honor.”
You stepped closer to him, your eyes still narrowed. “Well what do you and your honor have planned for tonight?” His smirk turned dark.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Goosebumps trailed up and down your arm. He wrapped an arm around your shoulder and said, “Let’s go back to my place.”
“Pea,” you warned.
“I swear it’ll be fine. I’m not an asshole.” You laughed as he lead you outside into the chilly night air, directing you to his bike. He slid on and patted the space behind him. “Come on, princess.”
* * *
Sweet Pea’s trailer was empty and dark when you pulled up.
“Jughead’s going to kill you,” you said as you stepped off the bike, glancing around.
“I can take Jughead any day,” Pea replied, carefully propping his bike up. He wrapped his arm around you again. “I’m not going to worry about him right now.”
You took off your jacket and dropped it on the couch, goosebumps returning. “Are you cold?” Pea asked, his fingers grazing your arm. You almost jumped.
“No, I’m okay.”
He lifted your arm up and ran a long finger down your brand new tattoo. “When did you get these?”
“The tattoo? Not long ago-”
“No, y/n, the burns. The scars.” Worry clouded his eyes, the softness of his voice crushing.
“When I was with my mom, Pea,” you whispered. “You can’t tell anyone. Not even Jughead or FP. I don’t want them to know. Please.”
His hand went to your face, his fingers brushing the hair out of your eyes, then running down your cheek. He leaned forward and just as his nose grazed yours, he whispered, “Can I kiss you?”
Your heart skipped a beat. “Yes,” you breathed.
He closed the space, his other hand pulling your closer to him. Your hand automatically went to his face, his neck, his hair. His cologne encircled you. He pulled away only long enough to pick you up and move you to the couch, where he attacked your neck.
He sucked on your skin as you ran your hand through his hair and down his back. When he pulled away, he whispered on your skin, “I’ve wanted to do this since I met you.” He tugged at the hem of your shirt-a question.
“Not yet, Pea,” you said, kissing him again. God, he was gorgeous. He nodded and his hand went back to roaming your thighs. You tugged at his hair and he pulled back.
“You okay?” He asked, his eyes searching yours.
“Yes, I just need a minute,” you breathed. He smiled and moved so he was next to you.
