Memorial Day Weekend
This weekend was a nice weekend for me because I was able to get some rest and try and kick the last of my sickness, but I was also able to spend time with family and friends. On Saturday morning, I got an exciting text from my older brother in Chicago saying that his wife Christine was in labor with my nephew! I was anxiously waiting all day for the text or call that the baby had arrived safely, and of course for pictures. Ten hours later we all received a text and picture of my new nephew, Max! It was a bittersweet day for me as I was really excited for my brother and his family for the new addition to their family, but I was also sad I could not be there to see everyone and meet him!

On Saturday afternoon, my roommate and I went to the Corvallis Farmer’s Market located downtown Corvallis by the river. It was pretty decently sized and had an abundance of fresh produce for sale with the occasional little trinkets for sale at the different stands. I thought it was really cool and was surprised I have never been before considering the variety of fruits and vegetables they had for sale. I would recommend it to anyone looking to do something different or want to have an assortment of produce on hand for cooking and snacking! I will include a link below with more information about dates, times, locations, and what they have available for sale.

Later that night, my brother Jack, who is a senior and high school and graduating this upcoming weekend came down to Corvallis with three of his friends to visit for the night. He has never visited me before, so I was really excited he decided to come down to see and experience Corvallis a little bit before I graduate. He brought his friends Jack, Ben, and Eric, and I think they all had a really good time in Corvallis and enjoyed seeing the campus. Overall, it was a really great weekend and as the end of the term nears I am starting to develop bittersweet feelings about the end of my time in Corvallis and the end of my college career.
