We've made it to day 2 of the conference and he's interested in seeing all of the fantastic presentations.
After a day of rest at the spa (needing a wash and a few tumbles in the dryer to plump him back up) Tundra-Bee is happily back home and reunited with his brother. They're looking forward to being able to do the next adventure together.
I took a mental break and walked the train we're on. Apparently the 4 hour delay has finally caught up with him. I know he's missing his brother.
Chicago Union Station was really cool! Tundra-bee likes looking at the different architecture of the places he goes and really appreciates how the Great Hall is so pretty with the flowers everywhere. He really appreciated the two sculptures flanking the path down to the Trains. He was curious about them so I did some.research for him.
The sisters "Night" (holding an owl) and "Day" (holding a rooster) were created by Henry Hering in 1925. The two of them together represent the 24 hour nature of rail operation in the United States. They were saved after the demolition of the original concourse and moved to their new home where they oversee thousands of people's safe journeys every day.
Hello Everybody, unfortunately his brother has to be left behind for this journey, but Tundra-bee is happy to represent his family as bravely being the first Bee to travel by rail to Chicago as part of a longer expedition to Rochester NY to join on a mission to Geek-ED, a mental health conference focusing on using aspects of geek culture to assist in helping people through their personal needs and mental health journeys!
Timber-bee is looking at the arch as we pull away from home for the first time for him. He's asking about how big the world is and I think he's going to enjoy finding out
Yet again Bees from the Brothers are heading out, Tumble-bee is showing to his new brother Timber-bee how great the outside world can bee. Tumble-bee is a music lover so a trip to Chicago for MCR is a great first trip out for this pair. Tundra-bee is making sure everything is ok on the home front while we're gone.
Tundra has always been one of the more exploratory of the bees. When he heard of this thing called a 'music festival' he decided that it was time for him to go and see just what this was all about for himself! Sadly he was not able to take a train this time, but after making it to Kentucky he was able to make a few friends of his own on the way!
