Cazigan + Sleeping
So when all three of these morons are home together, they’re sleeping in Mor’s room. It smells nice. Incredibly nice. Which isn’t a difficult accomplish to manage when compared to the Gross Cass and Az sometimes drag home, but regardless - Mor scents her pillows with calming scents to help her sleep and the boys love it. They’ll never actually admit that’s why they prefer her room with the smaller bed and more feminine colors, but it is. And at the end of the day, those scents help them fall asleep too.
Mor is always - ALWAYS - the last one to wake up. And ‘wake up’ is putting it mildly. Cassian generally leaves the task of waking the beast up to Azriel because if Cass tries to do it, he gets too playful and expressive for Mor to deal with that early in the morning (even if ‘that early’ is 5pm). So Cassian goes out into the House and cooks a breakfast that generally is enough to finish rousing Mor if Azriel hasn’t already succeeded, which he usually has via soft touches and gentle kisses on her neck, whispering her name quietly. Mor appreciates the subtle approach. The last time Cassian tried, she’d wound up with hot tea spilled all over her sheets.
Things change drastically, however, if one of the three isn’t home and Mother above help whoever is stuck in the House when TWO of them are gone at once. The remaining pair usually takes up residence in the missing person’s room for the duration of their absence. The scent is just too inviting and comforting to ignore. There’s not much sexual activity going on either when one person is gone. Just lots of sleeping and holding and being very, very close for comfort in that bed until the other one comes back. These weeks are the only reason Rhys begins to suspect the three of them have started a thing. The three are really good at hiding it when they’re all three together, feeling good and playing off each other in their normal way. But when one person is gone, Rhys isn’t stupid. He sees Mor and Az together - in Cassian’s room, and he sees Az and Cassian together in Mor’s room when she’s at the CoN. Rhys, sad about his own empty bed, never says a word.
Being back together after a reunion is the best of times and so, so much fun. The antics they get up to in their various beds leads to some funny positions waking up in the morning. They don’t sleep in a normal position, even if they start out as such. It’s not uncommon to wake up and find Mor at the foot of the bed sprawled next to Cassian who is half hanging off the edge with Azriel still up by the pillows and so forth. It’s just too many tangles of limbs and wings and bodies and crazy sexual antics to stay put for one night.
However, on the nights where Mor is upset or Azriel is silent or Cassian is bloody, the three of them nestle in together, Mor always in the middle, and they just hold on until they’re asleep and even then a long while after. Those are the nights they don’t move. The Hard Nights. But they wouldn’t take them away for anything because waking up wrapped up completely in the two other people they care most about is worth everything.
