Sabrina Pt1: One week ago I left for Miami, telling few lest we fail. We must not fail. Arriving late Brad and I ate a late supper in TGIF and killed time until 5AM, we tried to book a cheap room for a few hours despite the sidelong glances however the Internet failed us so we settled for an uncomfortable few hours in 🍩 parking lot, opposite a police cruiser! We set out at 5AM and lured a hungry Sabrina with heavy medicated avocado, as Brad went for more supplies from the car some blocks away I filmed her - my first trip me seeing her . Love. Hoping she would lay down we waited but she did not . Thankfully Carlos nonchalantly strolled up smoking cheap cigarettes and speaking little English . A kid. The embodiment of Tumbkeweeds dream state I think, he through off boots jacket and fear and hopped up the tree. If Brad has been for 3 weeks and three trips the front line trench GI INFANTRYMAN , Carlos was special forces, myself just logistics and supply line. Together however we were pretty good. Chasing her from tree to tree ( to tree!) for two hours she eluded us still. The foreboding humidity hinted at the storm to come and we were exhausted and abject. Police. And security merely laughed at us and we needed a break- we got one . She trapped herself in a bole and the sealed the entrance, we gathered water ( Carlos had a cigarette)to flush her out- she poped out w a twig instead and avoided one net but tired she slipped and fell into the lush undergrowth. We couldn't see her or her us . I spotted brush move and after another 15 mins we herded her into the open lanes where she ran at Brad who with ripped net and two attempts GOT HER! Entangled I took a photo right then and posted it live! We took care of final wrap up , Cat girl had now joined us and helped force her contact Carlos to take 💸 as he wanted nothing ( TW I tell ya!🐿) Dogged by a huge storm we made our way to Tampa, stopping for meds, equipment and expert advice ( Judy) . I also got a new TIE fighter and Brad acquired a Slushy .. THANK U EVERYONE! #BROUGHTSABRINAHOME #questions? (at Miami, Florida)

Thank you EVERYONE FOR YOUR kind words and comments on my previous posts. Been crazy busy with Sabrina ( I fed her last night😍) and of course creeping on Seymour, so I'm a couple of days behind.. Update: Sabrina is more Squirrelly today and accepting her meds and food!👍🏻😃 she has a great attitude and will see the vets for X-rays and stuff on Monday . ( we've been unofficially informed she'll probably be absolutely fine. But of course non releasable ) #squirreltopia 🔈🔉🔊#BROUGHTSABRINAHOME Brad has posted the story on @sabrina_the_squirrel but I'll post how I saw it and some Seymour grumbling at me when I get back to NYC .
