Brovid is neat and valid, just like it’s non-shipper fans, but Dadvid will always reign supreme to me.

Like yeah, it’s closer to the canon dynamic but that’s why I don’t find it as interesting. It’s a diet foster dad au, at least from what I’ve seen so far. Idk brovid ware there both kids or one is a kid and one is a teen? I’d be all over that.

Max might be closer to seeing David as a brother than a father figure (cue that b99 quote), but I honestly can’t see David having a more equal family relationship with Max at there normal ages unless they were actually step or adopted siblings and he was trying to make him feel part of the family.

Basically:

Brovid: Nice, cute potential, kinda stagnant, can’t see it unless they became literal siblings, a lukewarm water bottle I found in my room somewhere

Dadvid: Adorable, makes me cry sometimes, David and Max may or may not grow a lot as people because of it, found family trope that feels natural even when just looking at canon stuff, a sweet fresh glass of water with ice that squeaks when I chew on it
