The world I grew up in was filled with color. Vibrant colors that lived among vibrant people, But the color that stuck out most was brown. Brown was the color of my mother’s curly hair as it flowed like a river down her back. Brown was the color of my father’s eyes that always reminded me of the sweetest chocolate. Brown was the color of my brother’s skin that had always been my shoulder to cry on. It seemed that even amongst all the colors in the world, brown would always stand out, Brown would always be home.
