Working an interesting line of Art Deco detail this garment brought a smile to everyone’s face. The bust is secured high in the cups, with the result that ones nipples point gently skyward, implying a youthfulness not all of us can legitimately claim. Full cup in design, but hardly modest in execution, this made us think what the stratified categories of bra design mean to us.

A picture that we can truly describe as a revelation. Not, you understand, because of a sudden damascene conversion to the molded bra (a format about which we are at best ambivalent). Rather this picture serves to finally resolve the conundrum as to which railway company was conveying our heroine on her journey to the Big Smoke. It is essentially a compromise between the rigid control of a traditional corset and the elastic liberation that the 20th Century gave us. This particular garment employs a curious colour scheme, as a result drawing our attention to bust and full hips. Our lady wears a look that suggests tolerance rather than delight.

Maturity is, of course, not the same as age and we think Jessica Lavoie exemplifies this admirable quality in her lingerie modelling career. Framed by a scene of banal domestic tranquility, our lady seems most comfortable in a black-and-tan set.
