Squirrel - June 2014 I will almost always take pictures of squirrels when I see them, especially brown squirrels such as this one. These are the type of squirrels I grew up with and my mind categories them as normal squirrels. Having traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada, I know that there are many species of squirrel in North America, but the brown squirrel will always be my hometown squirrel. MWM
Standing Squirrel - June 2025 I’ve take a lot of images of Squirrels. But this is the first time I have captured… or realized… the way a brown squirrel rolls its tail under as it stands. This makes perfect sense because the squirrel can then use the muscles of the tail to better stabilize itself as it stands tall checking out its surroundings. I included images two and three just to show that the tail looks natural as it walks or runs along the concrete trail. MWM
