alright finally got to this one here we GOOOOOOO
goes days without sleeping sometimes (we already knew that but sometimes a vegimal wants to sleep with Shellington for the night therefore forcing him to actually sleep. >:3 it works like 25% of the time because sometimes he'll explain his research and the vegimal listens until they fall asleep on their own)
also total dad to the vegimals (they always call him papa in vegimalese) this one's kinda canon though already tbh
once he was caught in the launch bay sleeping in the water floating like any other sea otter (whether he did it on purpose or fell in whilst passing out remains a mystery)
peso is like always on his tail over his sleeping habits and he tells himself he'll sleep sooner (he always forgets the moment he gets invested in research and oh look at that it's morning)
there is a non zero chance that shellington is just completely out when the octo alert is sounded and is therefore completely absent for a mission (barnacles asks where he is and peso explains that he's still sleeping because he hadn't slept in 3 days)
maybe I'm being too harsh with the no sleep headcanons... nahhh
he's never been that good at holding his breath underwater but now that he's using a helmet good luck getting him to be good at it (maybe)
sometimes he just completely disappears only to be found outside the octopod observing a creature he spotted outside his window
I wouldn't mind being asked this again sometime im just out of steam rn
