National Poetry Day???
There may be some of you who are thinking, "what does poetry have to do with music or promotions or anything with Brown Sugar Promotions?" Well, let us tell you...in honor of National Poetry Day 2011, BSP released a snippet of Kesha's new poem from her "The Passion Fruit Syndrome: Poetry Enhanced" book. Go take a peek at her Facebook author page Kesha L Johnson-Clark (Kesha Levon Johnson).
Kesha aka ~friscourbancowgrrl~ is a writer/poet/spoken word artist who is our primary focus/brand/product/artist and is working on her debut spoken word CD. Her poems are song lyrics.
And many, if not most of the songs that you hear and love from way back up to today, started out as poetry. When you read the lyrics to a song, in essence, that is a poem. So we thought it fitting to show some love to poetry on our Twitter and Facebook pages. Does that make sense...we hope it does. BTW poetry is every day for poets...October 6th is Natonal Poetry Day.
