I think there should be a separate poll for mobile browsers. I love Firefox on desktop, but it's mobile browser is meh

I specifically excluded mobile browsers. Because of the resources and API’s on mobile (specifically iOS), what is considered a “browser” can vary VASTLY. For example:

I specifically excluded Ecosia in the Round 2 poll despite people asking for it like crazy because it doesn’t have a desktop app, just extensions. BUT on mobile, it does have apps. But so do Google, Bing, etc. Not to mention the vast amount of mobile-exclusive browsers like Cake and the various 3rd-party Tor implementations on iOS.

Also, something to note: it wouldn’t be a very fair fight. Android browsers typically use whatever rendering engine their respective browser developer makes, but tuned down for mobile. On iOS, though, things are different. All iOS apps have to be downloaded through the App Store. And, per Apple’s rules, web browsers posted on the App Store MUST use WebKit. Therefore, any browser you’re using on iOS is literally the exact same as Safari just without extension support and whatever UI and privacy features the developer wants to implement.

So while I agree that the different between mobile and desktop browsers is significant, I just didn’t wanna bother with mobile browsers since not only are they different from desktop to mobile, but also between each mobile operating system.

I am not kidding. That Browser War Poll has sped up so much that in the time it took me to type and edit the previous update, I already had 99+ notes in my activity box. I think I’ve located hell.

I don't know why people keep saying Internet Explorer is slow, Chrome is running like an arthitic turtle with lead boots. Through molasses.

Since I downloaded Google Chrome, Internet Explorer has been acting funny.

I've used Internet Explorer all my life; even when I heard how bad it was, I was still faithful.

But, since I downloaded Google Chrome to help discover if that one picture was stolen/traced (I've still yet to see proof for the contrary from that girl's blog), I've noticed my precious Internet Explorer has been acting weird.

It's failing to load pages very frequently, it's taking longer than it usually does to buffer, and it can't open links reliably anymore.  Needless to say, this is all very suspicious.

I'm starting to think that Goggle Chrome is mad that I didn't set it as my default browser, and it's trying to sabotage Internet Explorer so I don't use it anymore.

EDIT: Switched browsers to Chrome.  Everything is working the way it should now.  What a coincidence.
