it was odd to stand outside when inside the warehouse family, friends and strangers alike were heavily indulging in the hedonistic paradise that the place was just for that night. the thrill of the night got sucked out of her within moments, her joy brought to ruins. in her humble view, it was beyond unfair, of course. at home, her mother and father already ruled with an iron fist. prepared the words she had to recite when she represented the house, dressed her up like she was still a child, held lectures like it was their calling. and yet, they had the audacity to invade hyun's party, clearly a place two freaking old people had no business to be at. as odd as it sounded, it was a safe place for her. she knew her uncle always had a watchful eye on her during those occasion or had lackeys to make sure she was fine. it was her opportunity to indulge in the pleasures of life without worries and her father had the nerve to destroy that. like he did everything else. like iron hands picking up a flower. ultimately, they would crush it. she pulled the mask off of her face, quiet sniffs escaping her as she threw it onto the cobblestone ground. without any care for the elaborate dress she was wearing, she lowered herself onto the ground. angling her legs she pulled her knees close to her, wrapping her arms around them before letting her head hang, energy leaving her body. where the fuck was ara? sowon? hyun? anyone in this godforsaken town that would listen to her, anyone she could pour her soul out to. tears started obscuring her vision and a sob overcame her body, so powerful she didn't hear someone else exiting the building behind her. / / @brsong
