Question, How did Bister and Co get expelled? just curious

They didn’t have the right attitude; they’d skip class, not bother with assignments, bully other students physically or via extortion, had no respect for teachers and so on. They were only in it to murder big shadow monsters, that was pretty much it.

They had all the requirements on their transcripts, but their attitude was pretty much just awful. It was only a few months into their first semester when Ozpin had to confiscate their weapons and give them the boot (thankfully they got the impression that Ozpin was the one guy you don’t even try to fuck with).

That’s why they were so easily defeated by RAIN; they have to rely on fairly archaic weapons and their semblances these days.
