Life is all about the questions we ask, according to Canadian adventurer Bruce Kirkby. More precisely, it's the implicit assumptions we make that frame our lives: cliffs above 20 metres count are "extreme", subjecting yourself to the physical torture of summiting a mountain is "crazy". But human nature is the quest for the impossible.

In his short film, the Canadian explorer navigates the Georgia Strait, from Vancouver to Victoria on a stand-up paddleboard. Why? Because, as Kirkby succinctly puts it "adventure is curiosity, the willingness to embrace uncertainty, to wonder about the possibility of doing just one thing differently than before".
