The path to victory

MOBA-Games like Dota2 are highly complex constructs of rules and choices. The decision of which skills to spec and when shapes the way the game plays out and may propel you ahead to win, or leave you behind to lose. Our data science department made such a path visible based on the Frankfurt Major.

The image below (click here for a larger view) depicts a tree of skill choices being made with the Winter Wyvern and the amount of times they were chosen (Numbers from 0.01 to 1.00 are percentages from 1% to 100% respectively. The second number depicts the amount of times the choice was made). The most successful build path is marked in red.

Tell us what you do at DOJO MADNESS!

Hey there! My name is Benjamin Riewe and I am a product manager here at DOJO MADNESS. The best way to describe my job would be this: I am responsible that a vision turns into a proper concept and is finally realized as real product that people will love to use. I am also the guy that will poke you when things take too long or do not represent our vision.

What do you like to do outside the office?

Obviously I am a Gamer (I have been one since I was 4 years old) and an eSports enthusiast. Quite a big amount of my personal time goes there. I am also very much into movies & series ("Supernatural" & "Once upon a time in America" just to list some of my favorites). On the other hand I love hitting the iron 3 - 4 times a week ( fREAKAZOID I am looking at you^^) just to keep my body and mind in shape after a long day at work.

What are your favorite video games?

My cooking level is over 9000.
